RimWorld playthrough (The Escapees / Cassandra Classic / Losing is Fun). The "Freetown" series, featuring a colony of refugees from the ghastly desert citadel of Drinkdeep. This is my fifth RimWorld colony, and I like to learn by doing, so I might make mistakes as I go. The game has the Royalty, Ideology, BioTech, and Anomaly DLC enabled, and is my first time using the Anomaly expansion. The playthrough features a variety of mods to enhance the UI and make the game look prettier.

A wanderer wishes to join your colony. He will work for free, not eat anything, and all he asks in return is to hang out with your cube. Seems legit.

I'll proceed to study the grid of the table closely. 10:45 - Now that's the true dedication to one's craft XD 21:50 - ooh, a psychic mage who controls a horde of animals - I like the idea :D Less sleep fall rate means a colonist can stay awake for longer. 23:25 - Why were you thinking wild animals couldn't take food from your OPEN shelves? XD And no, wild animals will go for any food you live in the open. They weren't going for your kibble only because your colonists were actively shooting at them and that scares the animals away. 29:00 - Tremble, mortals, for I make me first literal and metaphorical steps on my way to the plunging this world into the eternal void! And first I... is that a candy I can smell? Can I have it?

Might be a good idea to make the corpse exclusively around the Harbinger Trees so that all of the corpses get eaten. I am pretty sure the big corpse piles have already caused quite a few mood problems.

the stockpile around the tree has a higher priority than the rest of the corpse stockpiles, so things will get hauled there eventually, and new corpses should get hauled there preferentially.

@@itsmu Ah fair enough. To me it didn't look as if the corpses were actually hauled to the Harbinger Trees.

Both stun and solar pinhole are OP for anomaly. Most anomaly stuff has high psychic sensitivity, meaning stun lasts a long while. Getting a couple of natural focus joiners would help a lot. Sleep fall rate. How fast the sleep meter decreases with the default 100%. Under 100% good, over 100% bad. It will take Caldwell longer to get sleepy and go to sleep due to sleep-need. You can put tiny prison cells near your kill box and release prisoners when you have an incoming raid to slow them a little. You also want to have at least double thick walls at the end of the day, but there is no rush yet. The draw animals.skill is super handy in void provocation. Strangely, I thought you used DaVinci Pro. Not sure why. You also have a predate concrete floor to the left you make use of, or remove to see what soil is underneath. Also, remember to make a new drug policy for wasters, so they always carry one tea. Wall strength and door strength play a big part in containment strength, as does not using the floor for restraints. Lastly, tunneller mechs are, imo, awesome. Great miners, plus they tank in melee like a champ.

I am a little concerned. Did you get any update about the cube yet? Also, you may want to try setting an advanced research too, just in case. I would have expected an announcement about research by now. You can also build proper holding platforms.
