Perry Persistent is a relentless modded RimWorld storyteller who turns the game into a stream of constant events. This full playthrough is played on Losing Is Fun set to 500% difficulty without pausing and without using a killbox. No additional mods to help battle Perry Persistent were added aside from Camera Plus.

*No Pause - I am using a mod that disables pause in every portion of the game. This means it is impossible for me to pause with a key press and the game will not pause during events or trade, making things much more difficult.
** Losing is Fun set to +500% is the hardest difficulty in unmodded RimWorld

the talk about "because its not randy" and raid breach points, there is a fun little "ultimate storyteller" mod, has perry persistent constant events for small stuff, randy raid roll of +/-25% points and rng events, casandra like hardcap for at least a raid, and there is a patch to also add a different modded story teller (basilicus?) for psycasters spawn chance (random pawns spawn with level 1 psycaster) its pretty neat, the best of all the worlds (also configurable) But ye ive been enjoying the run watching where I can before/after work and errands

I had a brawler pawn with passions in melee and medical, called him Surgeon. I don't use barracks, so when the "patient goes to regular bed" thing happened, Surgeon ended up doing an operation in a dark bedroom. Anyway, my headcanon is that he tried to do surgery with plasteel longsword.

I dunno if I am always extremely lucky but whenever I have an off-map mech event, one corner of the building that contains the smoke spewer or whatever is always just outside of the proximity sensor. This means I can always just send one colonist to shoot a hole in the wall and destroy it without being noticed at all. Even easier if I can drop pod in and then farskip out. They are completely trivial

When I do surgeries, I micromanage more: draft the doctor, force the patient to use the best bed, then undraft and tell the doctor to do the surgery. Of course, I don't have the DLC, so the bed quality is lower with no specialists to make them, with a few masterworks mostly from inspirations, instead of all masterwork, and if its only mid way through the game, I'll still have some good quality ones around.
