How exactly do you do defense? Do you just not put any walls on your colony and just throw a few turrets and security, basically weaponing the cover of your colony and turning it into urban combat?

Essentially i dont like the cheatyness of like killboxes, and such, and perfer dirty painful combat, so yeah, essentially my defense policy is that of the soviet union lol, trenches, every conscript gets a weapon, and whoever is better wins,
