I really like Yayo Combat, it’s a nice middle ground between combat extended and vanilla. 2 mods you didn’t shout out are Simple Sidearms and Dual Wield which allows your pawns to have more than one weapon equipped.

May I ask a question about Yayo Combat? If I may ask, CE has something called "snapshot" , which makes your pawn shoot faster but less accurate, does YC has something similiar?

@@oyohoyoh1494 I don’t believe so, it ups bullet speed, improves accuracy, basic CE stuff, but without the ridiculous complexity like bullet calibres. CE is more realistic, Yayo’s is more fun

one of my favorite mod is supreme melee that doing make melee pawn harder to kill with dodge and parry. I really like combat readiness check it's a mod that gives raids that show up doesn't bake potato laptop.

i keep playing the game with ce since like 2020, played all the dlcs with it and the mod actually has patches for so many other mods, i think that compatibility isnt a really big problem as of right now. i play biotech with like 5 mods tho, its not that ce has humbled me, its just that i dont really need anything else to enjoy the game properly

What's your mod count? I run about 350 and CE is a definite no go without XML editing. My modpack style is just QOL and content expansion on vanilla systems. Dubs hygiene of course

I dunno how much mods I have BUT I'm well above 50 and CE only disabled two, Avoid Friendly fire and run and gun, two mods that I didn't really use because avoid friendly fire always confused me and run and gun takes away the stress and strategies I like from deciding whether to shoot or make space

Great content i've only been using you to learn rimworld at first i didn't like your character bouncing but i like it now :D.... anyways i was hoping you could put out a video explaining how to enable "Development mode" again because i accidently permanently deleted it LMAO... Personally, I think VCR is the go-to combat mod now. Yayo's isn't updated anymore, which means it would be best to use alternatives. CE is also awesome but can be a bit overwhelming with the ammo, and extremely annoying to get a mod list going with it.

Simple sidearms is another one that would go great here. Pretty much what it says on the tin you can have your pawn equipped with a primary weapon and a smaller side arm (pistols & smaller melee weapons no rifles or long swords) and they will swap when the situation calls for it. Raider charges your sniper? “I GOT A MACE!”

lets be real most people that hate CE barely tried it or gave up learning it only real bad thing i can say about it is that it takes a couple days for the new (non garbo anime) mods to be made compatible with it. its definetly not harder once you figure out whats new in it. too bad yayos atm is a lil unstable from what other people tell me so i have to either choose between CE or the joke that is vanilla combat and killing centipedes with a shortbow.

For me the biggest up to yayo’s combat was the comparability with Gunplay (I like my fancy effects and bullet trails). And it’s similar enough to vanilla combat that it’s pretty easy to learn, unlike CE where you get yeeted into deep. I do still enjoy me some CE though, and tend to use it for normal runs since combat is my favorite part of rimworld, swapping to yayo’s for runs where combat isn’t my main focus and I’m just doing stupid sh^t like making an army of 300 ducks on crack and don’t want them to die instantly.

Honestly i mostly use yayo's combat because i use alot of gun mods(over 300 Guns) and the fact that i do alot of rp and having a colony die to a early game mechanoid is you guessed It annoying.

run and gun always struck me as super broken. even with the accuracy debuff, it allows ranged fighters to completely dunk on melee for almost no trade-off

It just make fighting melee a joke , for gun vs gun fight it depend because if both side have the same range then it barely matter

@@sashapinesnguyenhienhoa8003 it makes hunting revenge a joke too. And if one pawn has an assault rifle and the other has a shotgun, that's a huge advantage to the rifle.

I run it with ce and having to make ammo feels nice. Balanced? 50 steel for a stack of 500 ammo? Eh. Making it so they have a few mags and then swapping to pistol just by controlling the amount they carry(also limited by carry amount) is really fun. Sidearms and dual wield for max Mad Maxing. Witness the rim in it's full bloody glory

CE is for masochists, just go with Yayo. CE is the most unfriendly mods out there, literally needs other mods to suck the author's balls just to use his mod.
