going as Rin for a comic con and the tail was what I was having trouble with. thanks for the awesome tutorial. looks like I'll he sneaking into my schools art rooms to nab the stuff I need :D

This is supa helpful thank youu! I'm working on my genderbend Rin cosplay and I am completely new to prop building, so I didn't know where to start for the tail, but this is perf :)

Great tutorial! I will definitely be making this. I have a question though, how did you get the tail to stay on your *behind* area? Do you use a clip or sew it onto the pants?

When I wrapped the fabric around the wire, I did not cover one end of the wire braid. That extra wire I made into a circle, kind of like a belt loop. That way I can feed my belt through it allowing it to stay on my body. I didn't want to sew it onto my pants because I wear those dress pants quite often [did not want to ruin them].

I want to add LED lights to mine so the flame lights up, how do you do that?

Well i know that this comment is SUPER late but since idk how to make it light up u could take light blue paint instead of black at the end and maybe if ur going in the night or something u could add glow and the dark spray paint!

*cough* 2 years late- But you can get lil led lights that use a switch so you can put that in there maybe :/

+Karlyn Ray Hey thanks for watching! I bought the school uniform/jacket and tie online! I ordered through someone so I unfortunately do not have the exact information! I usually order from "Aliexpress", so it is highly likely I ordered from one of the dealers there! Best of luck!
