Which fit tone perfectly. In Kiwami 1 - 2,Kazuma still fight as Dragon of Dojima,Not himself. Plus,In Kiwami 2,Kazuma still being haunt about event in 2005. For Majima,He has to comfront girl who being his first love. For Yuki,Well,This is her last game,So,She want to make sure we can still remember her.

Love how each game's karaoke is a perfect time capsule of its musical era. Like this song is a flawless recreation of 2010s dance-pop, from the supersaw synths and sidechain pumping to the cheesy love lyrics. And the same people making music spanning four in-game decades of genres just demonstrates incredible versatility and talent imo.

@@factzilla1868 Because we got 80's disco (Koi no Disco Queen), 2000's rock (Machine Gun Kiss), 2010's Pop (So Much More), and then what? You said four in game genres, but which song is it for 2020's style of music? I'm not able to see which style of music any of the 2020's karaoke fits. Baka Mitai, at least in game, is already an old song by 0 which is in 1988. The music style is very late 60s and early 70s, not any 80s pop ballad if you take account the instrumentals.

Literally a guy singing in Kansai dialect from a girl's pov over the oudou shinkou chord progression - listen to Kanashii Iroyane by Masaki Ueda and "dame da ne" the chorus. Koi no Disco Queen is Kayokyoku, a direct parody of Yoko Oginome's Dancing Hero, and regardless as a western genre would be Eurobeat not Disco. In a shocking twist the 2020s Yakuza games do in fact feature 2020s music. Most obvious might be Honolulu City Lights as modern City Pop and Shin Ichizu Samurai as J-EDM Trapanese. And songs with influences like Eve, v-kei / visual metal, etc, but let's leave it there - if you can't recognize the current musical era that's on you tbh.

I've never gotten to 8's new karaoke so I didn't know about that song, and J-EDM Trap is not 2020's, it started and was popularized in the late 2010's. I don't get what you mean Kayokyoku, because that's not a genre just a general term for a popular Japanese song which are mostly all pop. Koi no Disco Queen is considered Eurobeat because it is a direct parody of Dancing Hero, which is based off of the original 'Eat You Up' by Angie Gold. Eurobeat is often considered a subgenre of Disco, just like rap is often considered a subgenre of hip hop. If you don't recognize that, that's on you.

I’ve easily wasted hours doing karaoke in the Yakuza titles. This is one of my favorite songs to do. God I love the karaoke mini game. The music from the cabaret club in Kiwami 2 is great too. Whatever that song comes on not a single soul. Expect me to sing along.
