Pentatonix won the 3rd season of The Sing Off. Home Free won the 4th season. Two amazing groups.

If you like these two groups, I think you would also like VoicePlay, who were in the 4th season with Home Free, but lost to them, but not by much, IMHO. A good starting point is the Oogie-Boogie Song from Nightmare before Christmas. VoicePlay's bass is Geoff Castalucci and he has his own channel where you should look at 16 Tons and Take Me Home, Country Roads.

Don’t react to Mayday until you’ve done at least five or so videos and you feel very comfortable with each group members abilities when you feel that comfort then do maybe it will make you question everything you know about anything! 😂

Oh, I get it...I just watched Mayday for the first time and LOVED it. Barry will LOVE it too. However, you established Home Fries want Barry to properly familiarise himself with each of five vocalists, their tone and range because Mayday will knock his socks off on hearing them thoroughly exceed themselves in on every way! Tim goes a lot lower in “Misty Mountain” with Peter Hollens, apparently Tim taught Avi to get his lower notes and they are good friends, Avi also has a cameo in “Champagne on a beer budget” but doesn’t sing.

He started out his career teaching math and history at a Montana high school, then decided to take up bullfighting. He can make you laugh until you wheeze.

NOT that I'm complaining, love the look, but I remember you once telling me awhile back that you were getting it cut. (and prepare). I prepared. Afterall, i have gotten used to you pulling it back. It does look a little shorter in "The Prayer", but WOW, not so much in the picture. (Which, might I add, another good pic for the front of my novel) Sexy Barry for sure. Home Free was filming a different video for "Champagne Taste, Beer Budget" the next day after this video. Imagine my shock to see Avi , with the same cowboy hat, photobomb the bar scene, not once but 3 times. (His hand places the champagne on table, he walks in front of the singers, and finally poses on the mechanical bull in the closing moments.) Seems he stuck around to lend his support. The "Champagne"....video is hilarious. "Elvira" feat. the Oakridge Boys is great. Also don't miss "American Pie" feat. Don McLean.

Home Free also won the Sing Off. I believe they were the last winners because I believe the show was cancelled after that season. I would like HF, PTX and Avi to collaborate. Imagine that!

There's only one mistake you can make with Home Free -- listening to their cover of "Mayday" too soon. You will get maximum enjoyment (and be glad you waited) if you first know the guys and are very familiar with their voices. That takes about 6 more HF performances before "Mayday." The group had a lineup change after they recorded ROF, so "knowing the group" includes knowing Adam Chance (they call him "Chance" because they already had an Adam (the last founding member, their beatboxer Adam Rupp.) Several recent performances feature Chance, including "American Pie", "The Gambler", "Some Girls Do", and "Cover Me Up." Austin (the high tenor) did a drop-dead-great cover of "When a Man Loves a Woman" and Rob (the other tenor) did a great job with "End of the Road."

Home Free and Pentatonix are friends. They were both on the NBC show the Sing Off. Both won the show back to back. Avi sounded wonderful. Tim Foust is the bass for Home Free and is amazing. He has a 5 octave range so he can sing tenor all the way down to bass. They are country but sing all genres, country, pop, gospel, R & B. One of most fun things about them is they’re not afraid to be silly and don’t take themselves too seriously. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own stuff. Try Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, I Can’t Outrun You, Seven Bridges Road, End of the Road to hear more great harmonies. Good reaction.

Maybe recording a reaction with damp hair (got caught in a heavy rain shower) wasn’t the best idea. What can I say about this performance…. WOW just WOW. From this video onwards Home Free will be getting my “Double watch treatment”. My first introduction to an act is always a single reaction but now that I’m obsessed it’s the Double viewing from now on. I am so happy that you are reacting to them. They are amazing... And, fun! There is so many to choose from, great ones, but if you want to laugh, there is the Butts Medley. (Priceless). Adam Rupp and his brother started the group (he went on to a solo career). He is the beatboxer and one of the best in the world (you'll find out). Tim Foust is bass, Austin Brown has the highest range and often lead, Rob Lundquist takes the lead a lot (super talented. Guy with the beard) and then the newest member Adam Chance, who is also multi-talented. You are going to love them, Barry. #HomeFree #ItsmeBarry

A few years ago (once upon a time ...), when I studied music theory, I also sang choral music. One of my friends had an impressive vocal range, similar to Avi's. We said that the voice came from his feet. Hearing it with the echo of a cathedral made your skin crawl. And ... Barry, I really want to see you smile the way you smile in that video. Your hair? This video features the HF lineup that won the "Sing Off" competition. Tenor Austin Brown had the lead at the end of the slow section. Tenor Rob Lundquist has a super-smooth voice . Baritone Chris and beatboxer Adam Rupp founded the group in 2000. Bass Tim Foust's range reaches from A0-A5. Chris Rupp left the group in 2016, and helped choose Adam "Chance" as his replacement. Chance is a bass-baritone whose range extends from F1-F5, so he sings bass when Foust is otherwise occupied.

Barry Buddy, if you're fond of Tim Foust (Home Free's Bassy-boy) You need to check out "Misty Mountains - Peter Hollens feat. Tim Foust" If you don't recognize it, Misty Mountains is a song featured in The Hobbit, sung by the leader of the dwarves and is a good one for letting a Bass Singer dive in and try to blow out your speakers. :) "Hey, Younger Barry, It's me, Slightly-Not Younger Barry. Hi Barry. If you haven't seen it yet, I think you will love Black is the Color of my True Love's Hair by Peter Hollens and Avi Kaplan. It's spectacularly beautiful.

Misti, it’s always lovely to see you. I’ve found a few of your comments in my “jail" they got sent there because you included a hashtag and unfortunately hashtags aren’t allowed on my channels anymore to protect my subscribers from being brought to “adult" sites. If there is a way that you could edit out the hashtags then they will be set free from jail and I can give them a like and a heart like they deserve. B☘

From the ones that broke with use, I used to get some beautiful elastic strips to make my bows (I remember that the pink ones were more effective than the green ones, I don't know why). No one needed to explain to me how to use a bow; I think those movies taught us all the names of the tribes and their chiefs, how to ride a horse without a saddle, what a Colt was, the existence of the Seventh Cavalry, that whiskey could cheer anyone up, that if you ordered sarsaparilla in the saloon everyone laughed at you, and that the pretty girl dressed in red and with feathers in her headdress always fell in love with the same cowboy as the sheriff's daughter (who was also pretty, but much more demure). And a lot of geography.

Home Free came in second place to Pentatonix first place win on the singing competition show, The Sing Off. They are awesome as well, especially with Avi along with their bass, Tim Foust.

Avi make an appearance in Home Free's song 'Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget' written by Tim Foust the bass singer of Home Free. Funny song. Lots of fun to watch.

Tim Foust, the bass singer wrote a song called Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. They filmed the video for that one right after this. Avi was still hanging around with his friends and made three quick cameos in that video, wearing the cowboy hat he put on at the end of this video. Tim also wrote what turned out to be a sequel to Champagne Taste, called Full of Cheer. Be ready for the funny. You might want to follow that up with What Christmas Means to Me. So Christmas is over. So what? Home Free songs should be listened to and enjoyed any time of the year. The first high voice your hear after the two basses in this song is Austin Brown. He recently did a solo (with his usual pianist Sebastian Douyon) video for Bring Him Home from Les Miz. Absolutely wonderful, showcasing his musical theatre background.
