This is the most a History of Rhythm Game Artists episode has ever made me feel like the story of one person rising to greatness from nothing was being told, even though they're all like that. It's got everything (most of) the other ones have, like humble beginnings filled with joy, getting serious about music, a daunting task to conquer (being first place in a BMS tournament), the conquering of said task, and not to mention the friends made along the way. It's almost like a hero's journey, which many people are familiar with, but this felt emotional. As someone with not a lot of memorized songs from a variety of rhythm game artists, Silentroom has my attention more than most of them, and even though I haven't listened to much of his music, ever since Aegleseeker I've held his compositions high in fondness(the only three I knew at the time were Nulctrl, Untrodden Morn, and Aegleseeker). So that means this was an episode I was most excited for, since out of every other episode, I only know this little about Silentroom, as opposed to knowing either nothing or a lot (but not everything) about the others. Thanks Rinny, and thank you too Silentroom! I'm definitely gonna finish listening to In My Heart before the end of the month.

When I heard Nhelv, I knew that the guy behind Silentroom is massively talented. The sound design is out of this world, it reminds me of Noisia. It is a monumental track that would stand a test of time, and will be remembered for many years. Totally deserves its place at #1 of the BOF2017 ranking. This makes me want to dig down to Silentroom / Polycube's productions prior to Nhelv, his Art Dubstep tracks are intriguing. Great video as always!!

Hearing Aegleseeker "Afterworld" At the end really feels like the best fit for it. It's such an emotional, almost tearful song, it's my absolute favorite of his work (Collabing with one of my favorite composers Too, Frums!).

i have just realized how similar silentroom's story is to mine. I've been passionate about music and video games since a very young age, i've always been attracted by the soundtracks of games that I played and, at about 12, started making music in garageband. And now, 4 years later, im more passionate than ever for making music.

I have watched all of your series, and by far this has to be the best one! Not only because of it being Silentroom, and the amount of thought put into it, but on how this is dedicated to a producer who has just left us for a year or two.

Silentroom was already my favorite artist, but this video pushed my enjoyment of him above and beyond. I cannot express enough how criminally underrated you and this video are, and I just want to thank you for making this. I sat down and watched it in what felt like 10 minutes, and after realized how long I'd been here for. Oh yeah and if you're wondering my favorite, the Aegleseeker extension has been my favorite song since the first time I heard it :)

What an excellent video! I've listened to Silentroom many times, but I never knew about the history of his career. I love Silentroom's music, his songs like Aegelseeker, Rainshower or Nhelv transport you to another world with their impressive and otherworldly atmosphere, whereas tracks like NULCTRL, Red and Blue or GLITCH SWITCH hype you up like nothing else. I remember hearing Silentroom's music for the first time during G2R2018 when I listened to NULCTRL. I replayed that song so many times... I don't think I stopped the song 'til the club went silent ;) Anyways, this video is so well made and thorough, it really stirred up my emotions towards the end. Hearing about people persevering, succeeding and reaching their dreams is so heartwarming.

...wow. the production value on this one is otherworldly, at the very least. there aren't any words that can accurately describe this experience - just saying "phenomenal" or "incredible" doesn't cut it. you already are a great and very entertaining content creator by default, but this is taking it to the next level. thank you for the experience, RinnyTheGigachad. as for silentroom, didn't know he is currently on a hiatus :c his music has changed a lot the way i see things, but i respect his decision of distancing himself a bit to give more time for himself, and encourage him to find passion and love for other projects and skills as much as he did with music. silentroom, if you are reading this, thank you so much for your hard work.

Guh i was asleep so i couldn't be here frame 1 💀. You already know I'm addicted to the sauce, and it's always fun to see how far we've come. This script's huge innit? You did a good job pacing yourself briskly without sounding like you were rushing at all. It's also nice to hear your personal opinions as we go through history, like your fav track off an album or you liking genre shuffle's format. Lastly i loved the timing of background music to your speech. Specifically, matching the end of your sentence to the end of a musical phrase. Super tiny details like that enhance your cadence and give a strong subliminal satisfaction. You did call by boi lapix "la-picks" instead of "la-peace" tho lol

FUCK I forgor it's Lapeace 💀 but yeah, you know I had to go all out on the production for this haha. Not to mention a lot of my opinions/humour ends up in here by accident (had no idea how much there was until I watched it back lmao). Hope you enjoyed Eris, thanks for tuning in as always

I'd love to see what you can find out about Maozon. He's had multiple Beatmania IIDX songs on the past 7 or so volumes (excluding IIDX29: CastHour for whatever reason). I'd be interested to know why there was no music in CastHour specifically, but could guess it's from being so busy outside of rhythm gaming, seeing that this artist has released 3 non-bemani albums since 2020, each better than the last.
