Good Idea. Maybe use a 3-way ball valve to avoid disconnecting the pump so much. Connecting & disconnecting could create a leak point.

Thank you for the bid. I suppose you could just disconnect the line... and just flow water out. Water would get in the truck, but... Anyhow, thanks for the video.

That's works just as well and I've done that too! I just prefer the SH that's coming out of the line and pump to not be in the bed and dripping down the frame. Just a bit cleaner with the tube

Ah yes, the dropping of the wand, lol. Just throwing this out there. If the vent pipe is lead sheath. A coat of WD40 before you start cleaning will keep it grey. If not your SH will turn it brown. Any additional precautions for the solar panels?

Exactly what I was thinking! Was wondering how other guys were flushing their system and if there was an issue with leaving SH in my hose. Perfect.

I don't think there's much issue with the hose. Pump should be rinsed tho

@@YoungAmbitionYA that's what I figured. I'm gearing up and running outside to install a ball valve and flush my pump right now. lol. I am using a 5/8" non kinking hose, is it alot more beneficial to use a 1/2" output on a 5.5 gpm 12v? And what are you finding best for your input? 1/2, 5/8, 3/4?

@Trevor Praud I recently made some changes for the coming season. Still using a 6 gpm pump but removed all the 1/2. 3/4 bulk heads, 3/4 hose to the pump, 3/4 from the pump to the reel. Using 5/8 hose now to the wand as well. Getting more flow.

You have to buy the pump that way. They sell quick and non quick connect pumps. I don't recommend everflo though. Try flojet

What connections do you have going into the pump? I have threaded barbs on mine so I would have to remove the hose from the barbs etc. so it would definitely take a little bit more time to replace instead of your setup

You would need to buy a pump with quick connect inlets. You probably have an everflo 5.5 (EF5500) mine is a everflo 5.5 QC (EF5500QC). Look into flojets. Superior to everflow

You have to search ef5500qc. To be honest I don't use them anymore. They're junk. My newer 12v vids are all flojets

Hey do you know how to troubleshoot the black fuse line? Mine tore a little at the bottom of the pump.

If it still works just tape it. If you can cut it and splice in a new wire that can work too

It's the model of the pump. Some pumps are quick connects and some arent

@@YoungAmbitionYA no I mean the spare barb fittings for the quick connect pumps. That’s what kind of pump I have. Your first setup video with the spray tank got me inspired and I picked one up to start a business.

pricing anything gets easier as you learn your costs. that will be different for everyone. you need to cover your costs then make a profit. your pricing should reflect your fuel to get to the job, insurance, SH usage etc. for example i know that it usually takes me up to 10 gallons of SH per house wash. that 10 gallons costs me $44. so i price that in. understand? its not as easy as me just telling you $400 for a roof, because that $400 might cover my costs, but not yours. Not the best answer but its a tough answer to give.
