This is genuinely one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Pep's so much more candid with actual footballing people. Rio is brilliant at extracting information out of him. Pep's passion is contagious, seems like he is in his own little world when he speaks with maps and diagrams in his head.

I notice one thing in most Pep interviews, is that he knows how small the margins are for success. That's why he never takes his past success too seriously & is always grounded. He knows even after going 10 years without a UCL final, there were many tiny margins that stood between his teams reaching the final & going out in the semis & quarters. Love his attitude towards these gigantic games (UCL finals). He tries to play them down & makes it look like a normal evening for him. The fact that people demand him to reach a UCL final every year shows what a great manager he is.

@@andylovesbacon1297 well he did face prime Madrid/Ronaldo in 2014, a very good barça team in 2015 but without Ribery or Robben and nearly came back from a 3-0 loss in the first leg because his team was chasing the away goal and then lost to athletico on away goals all 3 times in the semifinals. Wasn’t too bad in the CL but he just needed that extra luck especially against athletico, unlucky to lose to away goals. If he stayed at Bayern I feel like he could have atleast made it to one champions league final with Bayern. That’s kinda what I think about his time at Bayern

He is just a wonderful manager. So articulate, thoughtful and patient and great credit to Rio who is becoming a fine interviewer.
