What I love about this venue is that this is the most important day of their lives, and people in the background are living an ordinary existence.

Seeing the various footage is mind blowing to me. Being out on that water in just a little trainer as an amateur--even clumsy ol me--I feel like I'm flying so fkn fast being out on that water when it's asleep. So I can only imagine... Wild how the footage from further away takes away from the actual speed they're gliding at. Such is life sometimes. I love watching these races for technique. There's a lot of motions that go on and it all has to work in synch. It is so cool to me.
