Rion I have visited the Omiya Bonsai museum but not the Train Museum. I was surprised to see that it was so interesting and well done. Thank you for visiting museums in your walks. I visit museums every time I am in Japan. I am currently in Japan again and just spent three days in Osaka. One day I visited the Osaka Museum of Housing and living, and in the afternoon the Shimano Bike Museum. Both of these museums were fantastic I think you would enjoy visiting them. As I have suggested before I think a walk through Jizo Dori Sugamo on a Matsuri day (every 4th 14th 24th in any month) followed by a ride on the Arakawa Toden Tram would be a great walk. Excellent work again 👏 It's wonderful to see a KZfaqr who is so in touch with their viewers and going to the places they request. Your walk videos are a delight and so pleasant to watch, good old-fashioned clean comfortable family viewing. Well done 👍 and Gaooooo ☝️🙏👑🦁

I like the train museum, that one train that had the windows where it look like you were actually riding the train. That was really cool. I don’t think the price was too expensive either. It was totally worth that and you know that NASA Center at Cape Canaveral is only like an hour away from Disney World. So when you come to Florida, you could see both of them. 🏝️ 🚀 🏰

@@aya-san119 Aya-San, there are some steam locomotives in the U.S. that run as tourist attractions, but most are in museums. Are you going to visit any places in Japan this summer? 🗾 If I get the chance to visit Japan, I'll probably explore some of Tokyo, but I'm also interested in Hokkaido, especially the coastal roads. I also want to visit Enoshima and the Enoshima Line. I know they are considered tourist attractions, but they are so cool! I was happy that you were able to relax during GW and enjoy both attractions. 😊

@@thenarrativefilmmaker470 I highly recommend Hokkaido in summer! The magnificent scenery is beautiful and the food is very delicious! Enoshima Electric Railway🚃 is also very nice and quaint! Locals use it to get around, but on weekends it is packed with tourists😂

It's so much fun exploring a new place with you because it feels like taking a day trip with a best buddy 😊 So, how did you get to school? 🤓 My dad drove, and it was painful when we needed just one more street to get there, but the longest train (100+ freight cars) starts crossing right in front of us. Natsukashii 😂 And omurice + cheese = Umai! 🔥

On our first night there we went in to Tokyo then took the train back but were on one of the express trains and accidentally took it all the way to Saitama 😅 We spent hours trying to walk back then had to take a rest at a bar where some nice strangers who bought us pizza and kept us company until we took a train back at 6 am 🥲😁

I also discovered there is a Bonsai Tree Museum nearby too. We don't like crowds or queues, coming from little Perth, Western Australia. (Note, you can fit 200 Perth city centres in Tokyo). Keep up the great work on less crowded spots. That is what we are really interested in. ❤ ありがとうございます。

7:06 Something like this only happens in Japan, where two exhibits are left outside without being vandalized ! It used to be possible in Switzerland too, but unfortunately, due to cultural and social changes, this is now a thing of the past. It would have been sprayed and destroyed long ago 😢

Great video, thank you again! A couple of things to add, though. You don’t actually need to walk from Ōmiya station to the Railway Museum. You can follow the signs to the New Shuttle line, which takes you from Ōmiya station to Tetsudō Hakubutsukan station, which is right in front of the Railway Museum entrance. The New Shuttle accepts Suica, Pasmo and similar IC cards just like any train line would. When at the museum, there is also a restaurant on the second floor that resembles an old-fashioned dining car, and the menu consists of items traditionally served in dining cars in the past. Last year, I had an omuraisu, and it was quite good. Recommended. Thank you, btw, for the comment related to the old reading direction of Japanese. I was sort of aware that the traditional way is from top to bottom, right to left, but I didn’t realize it was also possible to write horizontally right to left. That would explain my difficulty in reading some of the old texts even though I generally have no problem with hiragana (and simple kanji) characters. (For some reason, katakana seems to demand a little more concentration…) 😊

Oh, and I have seen the film Tonde Saitama that you mentioned. It is funny although maybe some of the jokes escaped me because my Japanese isn’t good enough to fully understand everything without English subtitles, which the DVD I got didn’t have. The end credits song is really funny, though. 😅

I'll definitely be adding this museum to my to-go list. Have you been to the Kyoto Railway Museum? I was there last year and was surprised by how many trains there were and there is a viewing area of Kyoto Station where you can see the passing trains. 🚅 P.S. there's a NASA Johnson Center in Texas and the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
