Obviously, Ukraine is the victim, and I don’t think this artist is trying to dismiss that. I think what they are trying to portray is that Russians are oppressed and trapped by their own government, and they hate the idea of more people being trapped by it too. Sometimes you get so use to being bullied you just start taking it and accept it as just “part of life”, but watching someone else be bullied can be the motivation you need to stand up. Ukraine is the victim, but the people of Russia are oppressed. Both can be true without belittling the struggles of the other. There are no real winners of war.

Hey, Russian guy here. I mostly agree, just want to add that people's attitude towards the war here is a result of total, monopolizing propaganda. It's easy to dismiss, and a lot of people did - it's blunt, stupid, untruthful, very easy to see through if you know what to look for. So the general attitude towards state media, the rallies, the campaigns was that it's inept, pathetic - won't work on a sane person. But the reality of the past 2-20 years shows it doesn't need to be. It doesn't work by convincing people, but drowning them in it. When propaganda, even shitty and incompetent, is all you see on TV, from politicians, institutions, prominent figures allowed to have a platform, it becomes your new reality. As new generations grow up marinating in it, it becomes the new norm. Now pair that with brutal suppression of opposing views and media - when there is no alternative, people will accept this "reality" even if they don't completely buy it - they simply have nothing else to build off of, there is a limit to imagination of what could have been. PS: I'm devastated by the actions of my government, what is happening to my people, the damage and the loss of life in Ukraine - it can't be repaid. I wish there was an end in sight or a solution that would see the people responsible trialed by international court.

Crazy that so many comments arent considering the themeaticc choice of not including Crimea. There's certainly a deeper meaning than just pro-russian propaganda. I think a big example is the fact the girl has a pxssy riot poster at 2:43 and that the film is probably titled after the band. For those who dont know, the band was sentenced two years in jail for their anti-putin songs. I think this film is trying to be an example of what so many youths of Russia are having to contemplate: abide and help or defy and resist a war they have no ability to stop or begin. And i think the artist has made their stance of being anti war clear through the main characters disgust of those who support the regime. I mean the poster she used to keep tabs on the Russian front bleeds after Putin presses the button to end the war, because the only way to end the war under that dictator is through blood

@@walnut_raisin2621 @walnut_raisin2621 Thank you very much. I want you to simply understand all this absurdity. A few months ago, one TV presenter (and editor-in-chief) of a popular state channel said : "If we launch a thermonuclear bomb over Siberia, then nothing bad will happen. All electrical appliances will simply turn off for a while. And this is good! Because children will not be able to use their gadgets after all, children in the USSR did not have gadgets! And that’s why they're were smart!” ( nobody didn't do anything to her after this. On television they simply said that it was the idea of some British agents, and her phrase was taken out of context). And this kind of nonsense happens every day. Officials in our parliament pass thousands of stupid laws just to show that they are doing SOMETHING. And schools there is complete horror. Some time after the start of the war, they passed a law that all children in school would gather in a large hall and sing the Russian anthem, and those who did not sing would be punished. There is a severe shortage of teachers in our schools. This is because these poor people receive a very small salary, and the number of their responsibilities is very large. One teacher can replace several others, even if they do not have special education for this. And do you know how the authorities solved this problem? Maybe they increased salaries for teachers? No :) They just did it that way that now teachers are required by law to work like slaves for several people if the school does not have enough of them. But in some cases, no one just cares about it. Children in our school haven’t an English teacher for half a year, because people who know it have a much greater advantage in going and working in a prestigious place. And like I said, no one cares. But despite this, my school is one of the “best” in the city. Although it’s difficult to call it a city, it’s more like purgatory. There are a lot of factories here that process coal, and soot from their waste flies everywhere. This soot is small, black pieces of something that do not decompose. But of course, our officials say that everything is fine with us. Now the main problem of our government is the decline in the birth rate. Hmmm, I wonder why this happened?🤔 And do you know how our authorities SOLVE this “problem”? They literally encourage people to mate. I'm serious. In addition to the anthem, our schools also introduced a special lesson. In this lesson, teachers tell students what a GREAT country they live in, and that we are the "best" in the world. Teachers who do not want to conduct this propaganda lesson will be punished and deprived of their bonus (or their salary will be reduced). But despite this, no one complains (because the're stupid or afraid). Lately I’ve been trying to convince my grandmother that our government doesn’t care about us in order to change her opinion. In our last dialogue she told me something about how they are installing toilets for transgender people in America.. Seriously? Is that all she cares about? We have almost no public toilets anywhere in our city 😐

A lot of people seem to be interpreting it very differently from me so. Heres what i got from it: Shes a russian pizza delivery girl whos fed up with the war but also battling the stuff she was taught growing up. All the murders didnt actually happen, thats just her anger as she ruminates while stabbing into the dinner thats why it keeps cutting back and forth. And then putin popping out is symbolic of the other side of her, which was fed propaganda all her life that makes her internally feel like shes betraying her country by supporting ukraine. Thats also why theres no krym on her map. And the ending i think means she decided to help ukraine in the end by donating blood/working for war relief efforts It kind of reminds me of an older version of jojo rabbit bahah but i get why some people would be upset that it sort of humanizing Russians WHILE the war is still going on. Maybe the creators bit off a bit more than they could juggle but saying its like anti-ukraine or whatever seems like a heavy misreading to me. Just misreading the room on the timing a bit.

Ethical considerations of publishing this short during the war are valid but to me it's significant that it brings war discourse back into the spotlight. The film isn't a wishful thinking, it's grim and depicts the ugly reality of helplessness and fear in young generation. And yes, no-one is marching with torches towards Kremlin. Would it be appropriate if this film was about struggles of Ukrainians while one of the students is from russia? I don't think so.

It could go either way. There's always innocents within either country, however every violent speck is going to be inevitable and it's hard to accept this reality because it's brutal and people are forcing it down our throats every day, blasting their fake religion and blessing in our faces and preaching we lose our rights as humans... I bet you.. Jesus didn't fucking want this.

This animation is a metaphor for the helplessness of the ordinary person in Russia. one ordinary pizza delivery man will not be able to shift power or support a large rally. The girl shows a conflict with her parents in the vision of the war situation - this indicates the difference in views between generations, about how young people do not support the war but in the minority they do not have the strength to influence anything in this state. The girl collects and catches some people from her story in her bag, thus the authors hint at those who are actually has benefits in this war, and then the head of state comes out of her bag, which hints that they were all controlled by one person. The man tells her to press the Red Button, an allusion to the nuclear button. The button is shown as a missile launch button, which the head of state puts in her hands - this is a metaphor for the fact that the state administration is inviting her to make a choice in favor of Russia, hidden under the fact that “the war will end.” But this will only lead to greater casualties and will not resolve the conflict. And Crimea is not on the map of Ukraine, as other commentators have noted - this is because it shows a map published in the Russian Federation, and not another map of the world - this can also be considered a metaphor that they are trying to impose on ordinary people the view of the state. At the end we are shown that no matter how difficult this girl’s situation was, she chose the path of supporting people, her bag turns into a bag with humanitarian aid, with blood for transfusion, in order to avoid unnecessary victims, because the only thing she can do is help people , and not turn away from them. She chose confrontation rather than agreement with the war, as many write in the comments. She opposes the regime, but as a simple person, not a warrior or a soldier.

I also think the giant delivery bag is a great way to show burden, pressure, stress, and so much negative emotion the character is feeling. And while at the end, it's still this giant weight on her shoulders, it's for something that will do a lot more good than a fresh pizza.

I’m an American, the amount I relate to this as a teen in the south is scary. I think a lot of the comments are misunderstanding the concept (or I am) This is obviously a young woman (teen or young adult is unclear) and she doesn’t have much ability to be independent most likely due to being a teen or financial reasons. The struggle of wanting to be on the correct side of an issue while living in an area that makes it at best a social taboo and at worst gets you killed is extremely hard to deal with. The scene of her fantasizing about doing something, even if aggressive and unlikely to work, was very relatable. Most of the time that feels like all you can do especially when the knowledge of what to do to help is blocked at every opportunity. The scene of Putin climbing on of a bag and giving her the button was definitely not literal… it’s a metaphor for the illusion of choice that politicians give to make themselves look good. When this young girl says no, I don’t want any part of this, he presses it anyway BECAUSE THATS HOW IT IS. You as an individual can say no but that doesn’t do anything. The girl sees this and hides, she watches the blood shed from a safe but graphic distance. As someone with so little mobility and little ability to truly help that’s terrifying. In the short this motivated the girl to help as some kind of medical unit. In real life seeing these atrocities leads teens and adults with little money to find creative ways to help where we can, with spreading awareness and avoiding spending on corporations that defend oppression. The pressure to just ignore it and hide because you are just far enough away from the crosshairs is overwhelming. But this short is saying no, you have to actually try, if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. If you live in America, or Russia, or any country that enacts and enables violence, you have to realize who the victim is and help as much as you are capable.

Well, when Lithuania almost closed its borders with Russia, the Russians did protest against the Lithuanian government inside Lithuania. Now remember when the last pro-Ukrainian anti-war protests took place. I'm not even talking about the territory of Russia, but somewhere in Europe or America🤯 Being anti-war is defined not only by a way of thinking, but also by actions.

This comment section is the most apathetic and self centered I’ve seen in a long time. Of course both sides struggle in any war, of course normal people feel powerless, of course most people won’t leave their whole livelihood and go to another country to protest, of course most people will be too afraid to riot if it means they could go to jail for years or possibly be killed. Almost no one in this comment section has even feared for their lives for protesting much less suffered from police brutality and they still think they have the authority to judge. I live in sudamerica, I’ve ran from police, my friends were tortured and so much more, but not even we can compare to the everyday oppression of living in a regime where any form of protest, even online, could mean jail or worse. The way people struggle to see normal Russian citizens, that are against war but aren’t able to protest, as innocent is baffling to me. Open your perspective and put yourself in the shoes of the girl in this short film, you wouldn’t be a hero and actually kill all the bad guys, you wouldn’t leave your home and your family and go to another country to protest, you wouldn’t even protest if it meant they could track you and kill you. This short film is about feeling hopeless, it’s about frustration, it’s about wishful thinking and even the guilt that the protagonist feels. Stop acting like you would do better and stop seeing everything as black or white.

well the problem with this film’s message that ukrainians in this comment section have expressed is that “hopelessness” that you speak of. instead of being a film that ends with a call to action or a hopeful message, it’s one that doesn’t seek to enable any significant change to the status quo. especially since this is a gobelins graduation film, and this school’s films are always given a platform for a plethora of viewers to see. the film team had a great opportunity to relay a meaningful message but ultimately failed

@@teaofpastels tbh I’ve seen more US americans than ukranians in these comments. In my opinion not every piece of art needs to seek to change the status quo, social media in general has been flooding with donation links and ways to help Ukraine in this war, sharing war footage from Ukrainian soldiers and generally all the brand sanctions to Russian citizens, but sharing a small piece of personal experience from an everyday citizen is a nuance that I’ve seen lacking everywhere so in that sense it’s already breaking the status quo so people stop demonizing every Russian civilian and focus on the actual people that hold the power and have the ability to make real changes, but it looks like US Americans can’t get over the years of indoctrination after the cold war and stop to think that not all russians are monsters and murderers

But in general, short films (as art) are used to express personal sensations. The war can be very complicated from an individual’s experience and it definitely isn’t right to judge someone based on their country’s political decisions; I mean isn’t this the root of all bias.

It is a well crafted short. The depiction of the opposition within Russia is romanticized to absurdity, though. Even outside the country, russian opposition isn't capable of uniting and producing any results. Their self-pity about being powerless to act against Putin's regime looks like a parody in contrast with Russian Volunteer Corps that was assembled in 2022 by russians who fled from political prosecution to Ukraine and decided to actually fight against Russian Federation state alongside Ukrainian armed forces. Aside from these folks, the resistance is effectively nonexistent. The riot struggles depicted in this short pales in comparison with reality of Ukraine before and now, when russian soldiers keep committing numerous atrocities this very second. That is the most vivid and striking depiction of the russian spirit. So the reaction of confusion or anger from Ukrainians after seeing a vague emotional journey of a saddened moscow citizen is understandable. That being said, after seeing the apathy or sincere approval of the corrupt tyrannical state by your fellow russians the only best way of protest is to leave the country, to vote with your legs by crossing the border and to get a life in some civilized state that doesn't think of itself as a Soviet Union 2.0, when you get settled donate to Ukraine to help her withstand the onslaught of your brethren. That's my wishful interpretation of the ending

Forgive us that we are the kind of people that don’t like to clean up other people’s crap and we have no time for revolutions and oppositions, we have our own lives, work, families. It's up to the Ukrainians to clean up Ukraine's shit, not the Russians. If the Russian opposition had not fled to Ukraine and made plans there to destroy Russia and overthrow Putin, nothing bloody would have happened. Trust me. Blame Ukraine's policies for its mistakes. If Ukraine had agreed to give Donetsk the right to redistribute taxes, there would have been no impetus for the start of the armed conflict that was preceded by the miners' uprising. I believe that the directors from this film have good intentions. They just wanted to express their collective frustration towards the war. You could say it's not the right moment to sympathize the invader side yet how could those “in between “ Russians can do. It’s been 2 years, the people I know they’re struggling to the situation and they have totally opposite political ideas towards their family. What can they actually do in their life? Clearly it's inappropriate to release the film while the war is still ongoing. But everyone has their freedom of speechless, the directors should be able to tell any topics they feel connected. I appreciate that the school allow this sensitive film comes out and I hope that the artists have prepared for the harsh comments already. At the same time I hope the Russians who against Putin don’t feel abandoned from any of the groups anymore.

I believe this short film isn't trying to sympathise with the "poor russians", but instead give perspective. A nation is the sum of its people, and not all of Russia agrees with the war on Ukraine, especially their youth who are more self aware. This is important, maybe not now, but in a generation or more. When the war's over, when some of the pro-War russians have passed, when healing and reconciliation can truly and wholly start. It IS important to know that the next generation doesn't want this war.

I do not understand what English speaking folk find so deep and philosophical about this. This animation is tone-deaf at its best. Not the right time, not the right message, not the right focus. Like, you really think it’s great timing to give the opportunity for good russians to speak about their sadness even though the invasion is not over? This animation reads as “yeah, we’re sorry but we’re not doing anything about it, so..”. So is the message of this animation “we can’t do anything”? And, oh, it’s so brave to say “I want the war to end” woooow, very brave for a russian. Then just wait until the red button gets pressed, incredible. Saying “I want the war to end” doesn’t mean anything - it doesn’t name the side, it doesn’t show protest. It doesn’t mean Ukraine’s victory. A bit misleading for a title. No grand riot happened whatsoever, putin wasn’t stopped. What this animation got right is blood on the hands of the main heroine. Thank you for your effort of not stopping the red button, Ukrainians will be forever grateful that happened! Also, others have already pointed out the fact that Crimea is cut off on the map, I wonder why. It’s occupied Ukrainian territory after all (yeah, even the so-called russian opposition is going to have trouble admitting that). Or does it not count? The war started in 2014, it’s almost been a decade. If the animators wanted and really cared, they would show they recognize Crimea as Ukrainian, in a different way, but they didn’t. Feel free to fight with me for this, I think it shows that they didn’t care. You could still show a “russian” version of a “correct” Ukrainian map and recognize Crimea. The ending is not clear, where is she bringing this blood? To whom? Didn’t she allow Ukraine to be nuked in the scene before? And you’re telling me it’s supposed to be deep symbolism or a redemption arc? Really? I don’t know how and who approved this project, but it’s a very wrong time to give russians platform. I'd like to ask for what? Pity? Empathy? russians shouldn’t be portrayed as victims in a time like this. You didn’t even wait until this war is over, you just approved the project while Ukrainians are still being attacked by drones daily, meanwhile no news about successful russian protests in 2023 whatsoever, either in russia or ABROAD, almost 2 years of a full-scale invasion, almost 10 years of war (read as: 8 years before February 2022, when russians weren’t worrying about their comfort). You guys are a bit late with helping out Ukrainians with your silent protests, it doesn't feel like there are 140-150 million of you. I assumed the French school of animation would know what a real riot is. It’s nonexistent here. Pathetic, really.

You didn't show those who joined fighting on Ukrainian side, didn't show those who helped to make more "accidents" with railway so there will be difficulties for russians to bring missiles closer to the frontlines. That's a missed opportunity to show people how they CAN HELP, and instead comforts those who is DOING NOTHING. Again, this is really inappropriate in the context of this war.

I am from Russia and for me this film was very close emotionally. Personally, I interpret it this way: the cropped map on the girl's wall has to do with her clearly conservative pro-Putin parents - I don't think they would be happy to have a map with Ukrainian Crimea in her room (my parents would just tear it down and cause a scandal), the same goes for her silence. She's not thrilled with the situation in the country, but she doesn't protest with the people at the rally, she runs away. Instead of taking real action, she only imagines in her head how she harms vatniks and OMON, and when Putler presses the red button, she hides in her bag. Here I saw myself, just as scared, cowardly, weak and unable to act for change. I didn't see here at all the image of a "good Russian" that is mentioned in the comments, I feel solidarity with the character, but this character is not positive at all, her actions make me feel only powerlessness and frustration. I swear I fantasise about throwing a molotov cocktail at the Kremlin, but I'll never do it, because I'd rather sit quietly in my comfort zone until something bad happens outside. But at this rate it will never end.

@@user-ok3ob4zy7wThey’re probably one of the many people upset that this story is being told from a Russian perspective instead of the Ukrainians who are being hurt by Russian terrorism/military- as well as the perceived expectation that we should sympathize with the main character (Russian). I don’t think this animation is bad personally. I like the animation. It’s not supporting the war, it’s clearly against the war and what its country is doing to Ukraine (Putin, its supporters, and its soldiers). And the character does end up aiding a charity in the end (presumably for Ukraine), which seems proactive to some degree. But there is definitely a strong theme of hopelessness, of the experience of those around you supporting something horrific (murder) and feeling like you don’t have enough power to fix it. The “what can a pizza girl do?” And to some that can be seen as normalizing complacency rather than urging people to do more(?). But if there is more someone in her scenario could do, I think we need more animations and more voices on this matter. This film does redirect foreigners attention to the war/genocide in Ukraine, as others have pointed out. And while it’s extremely sensitive, I personally do like hearing the perspective of a Russian on this. They’re a Russian who wants to be in animation. They can’t speak for Ukrainian people, they’re limited to their life experience, but they might feel the need to bring this war back to people’s attention. They aren’t stopping Ukrainian people from sharing their perspective. But some people might be mad watching this thinking “So you’re just going to do nothing?! And we should feel bad for you for doing nothing?! What about the people dying?!”

This is a wonderful animation, it's good to see this stupid war brought into the spotlight more and more again, because at least in America the coverage of it and the news isn't very common. But lately documentaries have been coming out, analysis videos, and now political animations. I'm glad, more people need to remember that this is still happening, and isn't something that should be pushed off to the side because it's happening on the other side of the world and it doesn't really involve us. It makes me upset, because even though I am American, my family comes from Eastern Europe, so the war is very relevant to me because it's my whole cultures being squashed and hated on over there. I have pieces of me that are more Ukrainian and also more Russian. So to see so many people forget that it's even happening, or that it's serious is terrible. It's my people over there, dying and suffering. It's sad, and makes me upset. I'm glad this was made, this can't be forgotten. I love the symbolism in this as well, I'm glad there were subtitles because it definitely adds to the story. The neighbors who are pro-war, the parents who do nothing, the girl who is angry, the priest who is misguided, and then Putin who is a fool. The dynamics of the characters are very real, and I like that. I love the bag as well, as she is literally carrying all the problematic Russians in her bag on her back, like she's responsible and burdened by her people and the war itself. I love the conversation between her and Putin as well, because it's clear that when she says "I just want this war to end", and he says "So do I child" that she wants it to end because she just depises the fighting and wants people to be okay, while he wants it to end in glorious victory, not the way she wants it too. Also the very passive-aggressive message at the start about "fictional" and "coincidental" characters and events had me a good chuckle, like we're not hiding the brutal truth here. I like that.

Giving green light to an animation that depicts struggles of people from a terrorist state that continue living their normal lives, while not having an ounce of glance at people from a nation that is defending themselfes while living under missiles strikes right as we speak is far beyond me. I understand that a russian is going to depict a russian side of the story, but that's the problem, now is not the right time for this, the war is not over yet. Professors should've forseen this at the begining of the project and should've either shut it down or rewrite it from start to finish to be a story about VICTIMS.

I love this short. Honestly one of better works I saw from latest uploads, mainly because of the theme, don’t get me wrong I love all Gobelins uploads and I’m so happy I can watch all here on KZfaq but this one in particular is really important I think. Also what the character said, that demand on pizza (which I think has more meaning in this) is bigger than demand for decency. And the tone change in the moment of a meeting of a scary powerful political power at the end. Wow. Just wow. Truly remarkable.

It's insanely frustrating that Gobelins allowed this movie to be released. This is absolutely not the time to show "poor russians" against the war. There are a lot of comments here who write that this is not a propaganda movie and it just shows the emotions of russians against the war. Until the war is over, while russia is still occupying territories - this movie will be a propaganda movie. And it is clearly doing a poor job. You showed the complete inaction of the russians. What does the main character do? She suffers in her room drinking vodka and fantasizing about doing something? Wow, I guess that's really the max of opposition in russia. Show putin the f sign and giving him the red button? And then just lock yourself in your backpack so you can't see what he's doing? Where's the protest in that? It's inaction and an escape from reality. That last scene with the blood? May I ask who she's giving that blood to by staying in russia? This movie to me is more about youth maximalism, and it's extremely tactless to talk about it through military themes before the war is over. It's not a brave movie, it's a movie for russians who are idle and depressed at home to make them feel better about themselves, it doesn't evoke any other emotion from me. When making a movie on military themes work out the plot and all its nuances, because there are too many mistakes in here.

Eighteen-year-old children are sent to the border and they have no right to refuse, they die there in the same way. People who say things like you have no idea what it's like to live in an Authoritarian environment. We have been protesting for the last 20 years and every year it becomes more difficult to live here. Overthrowing the government is not the same as demanding a lower price for gasoline.

What is this animation about? What does it show? About how Russians feel sorry for Ukrainians, but MOST of them are supporting the war in Ukraine and "good ones" can't do anything. Well, you don't need to think much how to help - donate to Ukrainian army, help find the people that Russians kidnapped or deported, volunteer and inform - it's been said a million times and they could show what can be done even through this short film. But even in this case, they did not do it - most likely lives in Paris and fled and ran away from their country. Safe. Having the opportunity to help and show resistance, to show what can be done, because real people who never wanted war are dying NOW, lose loved ones and their home - they make an animation about how they feel very bad emotionally, how they savor this suffering and go with the flow. And what is this if not agreement with what is happening? I wanted at least someone from the Western audience to be able to read this comment and keep in mind what I wrote above. Real good Russians fight on Ukrainian side, arrange sabotage, help with information, etc. - It disgusts me that Goblins released a short film like this when the war wasn't even over. I expected similar films after the war, but to show the Russians as victims now... and to emphasize that? This is some level of cynicism, which is not surprising, but it makes me sick.

It's as much riot as in the average anime-obsessed teen living in their mother's basement. It could have been a critique of how some russians support the war, most don't care, and the last part does nothing except imagine, and everyone will gladly allow to "push the button", but it romanticizes the main heroine too much, even giving her some positive light in the end. Like, where it came from, and even wtf is that blood? Should have ended with her finishing that vodka and joining the parents, a logical step after giving up on the button. Or maybe that blood was for russian army and she fully adopted her pro-war stance? Nah, I give too much credit to authors, this is just yet another russian author trying to get popular with the "Not everything as it seems" message. P.S. Map of Ukraine without Crimea, just in case if authors will need to get back into russia.

Hi. I am a person with Russian and Ukrainian roots, I live in Russia and will continue to live here. I am against war. And I am sincerely grateful for this animation. I really am. This work in my understanding is part of the reflection of the experience of people trapped inside the aggressor country. These are very difficult thoughts for a lot of people. And this reflection will take many months, years and even decades. I believe that such works allow us to share the emotions and experiences that exist right now. Understanding such complex and important processes exposes incredible intelligence and humanity, and the courage to speak out about what causes people to express their momentary angst. But I'm not interested in how people see this work, I turn a blind eye to their resentment and anger. I realize that they will have to do a lot of work on themselves to one day simply understand and accept a reality that people (including their "enemies") did not and would not choose. Thanks again for this work. Peace is built by common effort, and nothing ever grows out of guilt. Peace is a choice for both.

Another russian manipulation, but in the form of animation. A lot of questions arise from watching this "art piece", and you definitely won't find answers to them. Why does the "good russian" have a map of Ukraine without Crimea? You will say that another map cannot be placed in a russian apartment, but if it's so, it's absurd, because who would ever allow a map of Ukraine in her room? The girl hesitates so much whether to press that red button or not that I wonder why she thinks that she is a "good russian" in the first place? Tired of the war and wondering whether to finally end it by killing Ukrainians? Why is she even hesitating? To whom does she carry blood in the center of zoscow? To the protesters? To police? Whom?? It is probably so convenient to stay in France and make animations about how terrible life in russia is. But authors forgot, that they are not the victims, but the Ukrainians who suffer from russian aggression. Terrible short film that should not exist.

The map is the way it is because in Russia it's illegal to have a map of Ukraine with correct borders. It's fine to have it in your room - lots of Russians watch the war closely, both those that want it to end and those that want it to end. The author would 100% be arrested, trialed and put in prison for 10+ years, and this film would never see the light of day if it were made in Russia. The reason for her hesitating, in my interpretation, is because a lot of Russians want for the war to end, no matter the outcome. I heard people that are genuinely anti-fascist and anti-war say they'd be fine with Ukraine losing if it happened yesterday - not as political opinion, more as an emotional outburst. Just so that it would be over, even for a year... Take from this what you will - an anti-war animation on KZfaq is not the one shooting Ukrainians.

Also the very “cool” metaphor on how the main character hides when it comes to them to decide and she decides to watch the murder and keep her hands clean (cuz she was hidden, she is definitely innocent, don’t you see??). And the most stupid and horrible thing. After the metaphoric mass murder of all the Ukrainians, the scene is flooded by their blood and… the main character packs the blood packages and brings them somewhere in russia. Very cool.
