This song was always my fav of his. DMXs music was a huge part of my young adult life. His death saddened me deeply.

You can not control the chats..EVIL LURKS everywhere I feel most of the negative is a mirror reflection of how they feel about them selves . PRAY FOR THEM..and this is coming from a non regilious person ..all you can do is be the LIGHT. For others to see threw the darkness ...I watched his CELEBRATION of life ...this man X.. touched so many people ..he will never fully know his impact on MANY lives

I grew up in the 1960’s, dad had a “HIFI” and all the big band music, I watch as Ed Sullivan introduced THE BEATLES to America. I’ve loved music my entire life. As rap and hip hop came around, the young guys that were stationed with me, showed me the dancing, which was great, the beats were addictive. I’ve always been a beat and bass man. The cars going by my house, rattling the windows, sharing the beat, made me smile. I’ve learned that this was so much more to it all though. The stories, the history behind the stories. These artists are so multi-talented, musicians, poets, authors, HISTORIANS. I’m 64 and white, city raised. I love the fact that you embrace all genres, however, I’ve not seen any BIG BAND. My dad is long diseased, but I know if you did a reaction to say, The Andrew Sisters, BOOGIE WOOGIE BUGLE BOY, or any of the Glen Miller songs, Where ever my dad is, he will show old school dancing to anyone willing to watch, and teach anyone willing to learn. I guess, all music has an origin, including rock, country R&B, going back in time can wake us all up to what is.

I was never into rap or hip hop... there wasn’t much of that going around in a small south western town where I grew up in. But I was fortunate in that my parents listed to country ... my dad love Roy Rodgers, Tom Hanks and several other famous singers, with a little country yodeling too. My mom was into classic and pop since she was from Ohio. During my HS the midnight special was famous, so I loved them all. I don’t watch all your reactions but I love that you’re true to yourself and love music 🎶... this song has a very deep meaning... a message to all. Unfortunately the singer left us too soon. RIP Keep coming with your reactions... they are awesome. And always stay true to yourself.

Mike, I will admit, I’m 42, I did not grow up on rap or hip hop. It just wasn’t music that was around for me. I can’t even comment on it. Much of what I hear in the lyrics are experiences that I’m unable to relate to. I did not grow up in the inner city. My parents took me out of the city at a young age Only now, can I dive into the rap/hip hop genre. I do think it has gotten a bad rep through the years.
