Great story. As an Aussie I loved the Pommie league teams of 80/90s with Andy Gregory n co and always felt they were so unlucky. Loved Adrian Morley and James Graham too. Tough dudes.

True Quiet Achiever. Whenever Canterbury were playing Geof Robinson was sure to make many full steam ahead runs up the middle of the ruck. I don't know one player who ran from a mile back at full steam as often as Geof. EVER. RIP.

As a young bloke my parents wouldn’t let me go to Kogarah to see my Dragons and only let me go to Belmore as it was only a few stops on the train. Me and my little mates would get there early to get a spot on the hill and watch the reserves. The main attraction was always watching Robbo scattering blokes all over Belmore in reserve grade before he established himself in top grade. It was thrilling to watch Robbo and the hill would rise as one when he made a burst. RIP to a great one.

Remember him mainly due to his appearance but after watching this he was quite a beast. Small front rower with a ton of guts. RIP Robbo and condolences to his family n friends. Those days were some of the best of rugby league and Australia imho. Can’t say I like todays game and don’t want expansion. 10 ton12 teams enough.
