All hype I'm afraid. He needs years to even begin to be ready. To beat any of the top guys anyway. I know he's strong af but people don't realize how much technique has to do with it. If he can learn fast af then he might can make a splash but he is already past his prime. I'm here for it, just don't expect too much is all I'm saying.

I don’t think people realize how strong professional arm wrestlers are in their specific movements & techniques…. No doubt Brian Shaw is a beast and has the size, strength & frame to become a serious contender in the super heavyweight division, IF he devotes serious time & energy towards armwrestling specific training, table practice and acquiring more experience actually competing in armwrestling matches (with all the ready goes, false starts, fouls, straps vs no strap, set up strategies, dealing with hand/ arm pump, knowing how/ when to set up & counter for hook, top roll, press, etc. etc.) Right now, Brian Shaw is a beginner and candidly, despite his immense size and strength, basically any of top 20 guys in the lighter 105 & 115kg divisions would absolutely destroy Shaw at this point in time. He will need a fair bit more time, technique and understanding how to apply his strength in the armwrestling specific movements before he will be able to pose any real challenge to the top seasoned super heavyweight arm wrestlers.
@EnchantedGrotto27 күн бұрын
Calling him a competitor for Levan is insulting Levan and the sport itself. Brian is my favorite strongman, such a gentle giant :D Seeing his dedication and commitment to his strongman career, am sure he could do well in AW, but he had a long way to go.
