The IONIQ 6 has finally landed, marking Hyundai's latest (extravagant) addition to their "eGMP" family of EV's, and like many of you guys, we had one question on our minds:
Can this thing beat a Tesla Model 3?
Join us as we answer that very question! We'll be taking an in-depth look at the exterior styling, interior technology, and features of this base spec (Dynamiq) to see if it's worth all the hype, and a $10K premium! (vs a base-spec Model 3 RWD)

You can go in to drivers settings and make the throttle response much shaper making it a bit quicker off the line. This is the Luxury model in the UK, the middle of the range.

Great review and EV. Got mine 3 months ago and love it. SEL AWD and I’m asked about it multiple times a week. Very different & fun to drive

Hopefully picking up one this or next week. I prefer the Ioniq’s look. I have 350 kWh chargers opposite my usual petrol station. Will be interested to test the actual range of the epiq. The chargers are made in Brisbane. So the network will eventually rival or better Tesla’s . Either way they will both be good.

How did you go mate? I have Techniq and would guess range is around 500 in eco/i-pedal. I'm on second charge after a month.

@@HuyTranimal The epiq is excellent, better than expected. Charges 10 to 80 % in 20 minutes at 17 deg C, no preheating. Range: 285 to 295 miles on the highway in Eco mode at 100kph. Absolute delight to drive.

Are the leather seats really made out of second hand leather? I hear that the tanning process is just more enviro, but new leather so to speak is used. I appreciate jokes and all but if you must joke please correct them so as not to spread miss information

This is vary cool even though it's not passing the model 3 anytime soon it will be a awesome EV however they should lower the options for simplicity to like 3 to 2 and definitely change the pattern of those aero wheels and I don't care about the flat silver look just the pattern!

For real!! I went to Hyundai’s website and So confused with the SE, SEL, and Limited! I have no clue what they have on them! Of course all the cool features you’d get for free on all Teslas aren’t included on the reasonable priced Ionic 6’s AND NO Tax credit available in the US!

@@kyliefan7 really the only thing I know there is that the SE probably has the least amount of features has the ugly arrow wheels and is the only variant that can get the 361 mi range

Those sensors in front are quite low. Like a lot of cars, being so low makes them prone to more mud and shit blocking them. Other than that, as far as looks go and my views, yeah don't like the front. Side profile is cool, the back, meh, I don't see a huge problem with it, looks okay to me. Whilst I can like or dislike the look of any car, more important to me is the overall quality, price, drive train, tech, efficiency and service are far more important to me. Overall a not too shabby EV.

It's weird looking, but it could look cool in the 2nd or 3rd revision... plus with better colour choices... they just seem to offer really bad colours only.

Let's say this car is slightly better overall than the Tesla model 3 long range.... I would still get the Tesla due to the Supercharger network which adds an extra value to any Tesla... maybe as much as 15% to the value of the car

Here in Germany, we have a very good coverage with really high speed chargers, so the overpriced Tesla network is much less attractive.

@@aksahdev01 The Ioniq 6 is a dependable car. Excellent ride and handling. Range is up to 360 miles. Ergonomics are terrific. It is just as good as the Tesla model 3. 1 reason I chose it over aTesla 3 is the way the car is designed. The windows are recessed into a frame where as the Tesla windows are not protected. Hyundai's warranty is exceptional. Free charging for 2 years with Electrify America. Yes, Tesla's charging network is great. Electrify America has plenty of charging stations. Another thing to consider is Hyundai has way more service centers than Tesla.
