When my parents got a divorce I became too depressed to focus on school. When you’re 9 years old, you blame everything wrong on yourself. My mom and step dad grounded me and I wasn’t allowed to use any electronics. My dad bought me a iPod nano for Christmas that year. My mom and step dad never found out. I would sneak up to our family computer in the middle of the night and put music on it. I still have the damn thing - 15 years later. Thanks dad.

The word “iPod” makes us all nostalgic and brings back good old memories. iPod will always have a special place in our hearts.

My iPod Nano got me through a lot in middle school growing up.

In 2008 I got the shuffle for my birthday. It honestly felt like I had something so far into the future. The idea of having so many songs on this tiny little piece of metal and plastic. Miss those days man RIP iPod

When I was in high school I would fix the 2nd and 3rd generation ones and would often rip the volume control cables. Then when I fix it came out it was much easier to get parts and have guides

Dang I am gonna’ miss that thing; I got my first one 10 years ago, when I was just turning 7, it was a dream come true. A childhood artefact that will never be forgotten.

Man this takes me back I remember when my parents came home with the first iPhone and I annoyed them so much they finally gave in and got me an iPod shuffle and then an iPod touch and I was over the moon. It was so cool you could download games and do everything the phone could do except call and record

I still have my iPod classic with the Touch Wheel from like ‘05. And it still works. With a bunch of music I downloaded from Kazaa, Limewire, and Bearshare. And like 4 1080i/p movies I put on there. Man… what a time to be alive…

As someone who never used any apple products except the 5th gen ipod touch, I will miss these. The 5th gen took me through high school and I made so many memories using that device more than a phone.

I still have my 6th gen iPod classic, and I now have a 7th gen iPod touch. I’m actually using it right now. The classic still works, I got like 1000 songs on it

My old 4th gen iPod Touch kept me entertained for many a bus ride to school. Good times.

I get why Apple stopped making iPods, because the latest ones where basically just iPhones that couldn’t call, you could still send iMessages, still use FaceTime, and everything else the same as iPhone, the only reason to get an iPod was if there was a specific need to make sure calls couldn’t be placed.

Words cannot say how impactful the iPod was when it came out. And not just upon introduction, it kept making big waves for multiple generations, which I find insane that it had this much staying power. Probably akin to the Walkman.. but I wasn't alive back then.

I still use an iPod touch. I don’t fancy paying money each month to a business for me to listen to music not to mention I also then save a bit of storage on my iPhone. I prefer keeping my music entirely separate and in one place. Works a treat with my first gen AirPods which I also still use.

Fun fact, I got my first ever iPod touch off the ground in the middle of the street with no screen, I replaced that jawn(horribly) and used it every day

And the iPod touch is by far the biggest handheld gaming device ever in history, and it was sold for gaming, especially for kids, but since they don’t put it in that category the title goes to the DS but the numbers between the sales of this and the DS is astronomical

2nd gen touch was my first iOS device, as well as my first Wi-Fi capable device. I’d owned many palm os things prior but as soon as I played with a friends iPhone, i needed one! Unfortunately I was a broke college kid at this point and a $100 phone bill wasn’t gonna happen so I was perfectly happy with my Samsung slider and iPod touch combo for several years. Unfortunately I left it on my roof one day and by the time I realized and went to look for it, it had been run over a few times. Rip. I later bought a 5th gen touch from a pawn shop for $70 when I was considering switching to iPhone, back when the first se came out. I hadn’t played with iOS for a while and got my se shortly after.

I still use iPod shuffle 4th generation while jogging. I bought it in 2012

Loved my iPod touch just dug it out opened it up and saw a few of my old games on there, touch grind bmx, temple run, hill climb, drink a beer app😂doodle jump. Back then apple products seemed so futuristic to me and now we’re in the future the products just seem so boring now,I guess coz we’re just used to them.

My first personal device was an ipod touch 4th gen. Still have it. It has about and hour of battery life to this day with is actually kind of impressive.

I miss the days of ipods. I used to have the short wide nano and it was such a good device. Had some great games on it like sonic, monopoly, and a really good breakout clone. Screen was really good for the time and i loved watching movies and shows on it. Wish i never got rid of it.

My first Apple product was an iPod shuffle gen 2. It made a hell of a style statement when you attached it to a shirt or jeans pocket. My childhood dream was to buy an iPod classic with my own money. The click wheel on that thing was a thing of beauty. Alas, that could never happen as iPhone far exceeds the capabilities of even the latest iPod and the model itself was long discontinued.
