Fun fact about Grand Prairie’s Ripley’s museum: There used to be an exhibit section called “Tornado Alley” which included a dark wind tunnel, and some interesting tornado stories! I’ve been there when I was younger and even though I took the chicken path because I was too scared to try the wind tunnel, I was still internally “traumatized” by the spookiness of that place! …I don’t really know why they retired that exhibit and replaced it with something more “kid friendly”, but I’m gonna assume that either it was time to just move on, or they got fed up with the complaints from parents whose children were terrified of that exhibit?

Thank You for sharing your memory from when you went as a kid. Ripley's is always moving there collection around to other locations. I've never seen what you described, would of been fun to experience.

Months later, I just noticed another thing that used to be at this Ripley’s Museum when I was little that apparently also retired (I think?) At that very first section with the ships and skeletons, there used to be this big red button that said “DO NOT PUSH” and of course kids would push it, and either this thunder sound effect would play, or some kind of cartoon sound effect instead. I used to love that part! Again, I guess it was because of moving onto other ideas, or in this case… well, I assume it would also involve safety precautions since Covid-19 hit

@@princesspixel3151 I remember going there as a kid myself & walking through the wind tunnel. It wasn’t all that bad as it sounds. You’re basically just walking through a dark room with the sound of wind blowing all around you. It only lasted for about 30 seconds (depending on how fast you walk through it). I was more frightened by the Chamber of Horrors that was a part of the wax museum.

@@princesspixel3151The second time I went, it was a little bit different. You’re basically just walking through one of those vortex tunnels that spins around you. It’s like what they have inside fun houses at a carnival or fair. Kinda’ cheesy if you really think about it. LOL!
