I see you're a fan of Victory Concrete. I've been watching Ryan's crew for a year. I just stumbled across your work. I don't know why this 58 y.o. nurse likes watching concrete jobs or Bama bass builds but I do. I hope you're as successful as Ryan at Victory. It seems y'all do quality so this channel will grow!

Kubota SVL 75 all day. You have to try one. The breakaway force it has is hard to beat. It also has a really convenient cab layout with a sliding door so you dont have to be boomed all the way up or down to get out of the machine.

I used to get my quantities with different formulas also but when i started teaching the guys it would get confusing to some. Sqft ÷ 81 = concrete yardage. To get tons of rock multiply that same number by 1.4. Or divide the first one by 72 and it accounts for extra.

@blam2848 ай бұрын
Length x width x height /27 gives you your cubic yards x 2 if your aggregate is smaller then 2”, this will give you your total tons plus a small waste factor. 2” aggregate & larger multiply by 1.5 to calculate your total tonnage.

Dump trucks can be such a pain in the ass. A good friend of mine invested in one and used it for rentals. He blew the transmission and he had no profit for like four months. They can make you good money obviously, but man it’s expensive if you have issues. Always make sure you have a good driver. Looks like you do hopefully😂

I used to haul bulk powder concrete, but I got dried out from the dust and am Diabetic and started passing out hauling almost 80,000 down the Grapevine in California. Delivered the load for the High Speed Rail job, fueled my truck parked it then hopped in my pick-up went to hospital and was admitted for 3 days due to severe dehydration and haven't been able to work since, that was 2 years ago. Concrete work isn't a joke whether wet or dry work it draws fluid from you. Stay hydrated even in the cold.

I run a Deere 324G. I prefer Bobcat but I've always had a problem with parts, sure you can go aftermarket but my personal style for a new machine is OEM. CAT is always a good option, parts are always readily available and the units operate similar to a Bobcat. I will say though, compare the 324G to it's competition in the same size/weight class and you'll be surprised with Deere. Very strong machine. Never operated anything outside of a case wheel loader so I can't speak on their skids.

Nice job For the skid steer i would say if your happy stick with that brand. Sometimes new is not always better. All the computers and emissions shit is always going to be a pain. I did some driveway removal for a paving company this summer. I think i did about 8-10 ripping out in a day moving gravel and loading dump trucks. It was very efficient putting it out on the road. Its great that you care alot about the quality of your work. So many people get way to motivated by money. I am sure most people understand that if its too cold to pour the concrete. Great video guys 🙂

Using your time efficiently is in the top 5 of priorities in running a business. I think Case is a very good machine. You might remember in the 80s Case was a big deal. It was all you saw on trailers- the Case with loader and backhoe. Well Brother, thank you for another great video, y’all be sure to stay warm. Your channel will definitely be bigger than those other guys if you stick with it, they only have more subs because they have been around longer. gravel and concrete are not even close if your using the concrete measurement for gravel a yard of concrete weighs 4000 pounds and your saying gravel takes up 2 times as much space as concrete 2 different types of volumes so what you call 8 yards of concrete is not the same as 8 TONS OF GRAVEL your method works on concrete but not gravel at 4 inches
