Everyone who starts to struggle as a beginner, HANG IN THERE!!! I struggled like hell too and it sounded shit for long time. But i had loads of time to put in there bc I'm currently not able to work. So over a month, with trying about 30-60min a day, i start finally to get trough the hole song out of my head. It still doesn't sound perfect but hey it's not awful neither and it starts to make real fun. Every little step to the better was as well a little celebration🎉 so i thank thousand times for this video and you all pls just keep going🥳

hey, idk if this helps at all but the basic island strum also works for this song as well as most others. I reccomend using "DDU U DU." it's the best for guitar too!

You have very good videos, but it would be better if you could explain in more details how to strum and song at each part of word first slowly, and after that joining all together, because it's difficult to understand some parts

I'm sort of a beginner myself and repetition helps a lot. What I usually do is first, memorize the lyrics. Then, practice the strumming. After that, try singing doing muted strumming. Then, memorize the chords. Next, strumming + chords. Finally, strumming + chords + singing! I usually play alongside the tutorial and after practicing, you'll somewhat get there. It's hard to do it for the first time so what I advice you is to just keep trying. If you feel like you're not making any progress, rest and pick up the ukulele again for next time. It can get frustrating but I swear, you'll get there someday! I was even surprised with myself because it seemed impossible. It honestly took me a looooot of practicing because I struggle with tempo and etc, some people grasp it easily but don't get discouraged if you can't be as quick as them.
