Till this day, this is my favorite cinematic of League of Legends. We're just a bunch of nerds playing a game, and yet Riot was capable of painting the players (specially Ambition, in this case) as mighty warriors on an amazing journey. It's really awesome.

In addition to the graphics the story is one of the great parts of this video. Each of the people you see is a real life professional league of legends player, styled as an in game champion they are famous for. It follows the story of the 2017 worlds. Our main character is the player “Ambition” who plays for the team “Samsung Galaxy” styled as the champion “Jarvan IV” on field amongst banners of worlds teams that have lost. The first enemy we see is the player “Perkz” styled as the champion “Yasuo”. This represents a real game that happened in the group stage of 2017 where Samsung Galaxy won. Next we see the player “Uzi” styled as the champion “Vayne”. If you watch carefully you see that Ambition does not beat Uzi, he just dodges him. This represent the fact that Samsung Galaxy actually lost to Uzi’s team in the group stage, but still got through as the second team in the group. When Ambition gets to the hooded statues bit at the end, each of the symbols they are holding is the symbol of a former world champion. At the end he meets the player “Faker”, styled as “Ryze”. This represents the finals of 2017 Samsung Galaxy vs SKT. Ambition wins, representing Samsung Galaxy winning worlds 2017 and we see the Samsung Galaxy logo light up on the hooded statue. Finally we see all the people climbing up towards him, representing the fact that we’ve seen what happened in 2017, but who will be the next challenger in 2018?

About this video RISE. The characters you see in this cinematic are all real persons. They made a video to show the pro players that face each other in the world championship. The weapons and the movements they are using in this video are from the league of legends's champions.
