Loved this episode! The warg riders were used well to outmaneuver the party! It's wild to see how disruptive enchantment magic can be, even if it's not being actively used. It's mere existence really swayed much of this session. My take is that Vincent had it right from the start, turtle against the high mobility force. His point about how brandon survived that encounter with the orc camp was especially salient given that the goblin was tricked before. The enemy wizard loves turning the simple folk against the party. The moment Vincent suggested putting Elaine to sleep was the point of no return. As someone once told me "never use (non buff) spells on people unless you plan to kill them". I don't think Vincent intended to kill Elaine but it's just too sus to throw around spells on your party to get your way even if its to avert foreseen disaster.

What the fuck was Elaine thinking? HAHA Imagine vincent used web on those riders to prevent them from attacking the town, or if they didn't randomly leave in the first place

But Vincent is clearly doing some fuckery right now, I don't know why Trump NPC's always seems like they are a double agent, he like literally did his best to look suspect as fuck, in the earlier episodes he clearly made plans and was very against in Elaine face on what was a bad or good decision but this episode he was like fuck it let it happen didn't even try to explain his thinking.

From my experience watching all these DnD, it is better to kill someone who is looking sus in the party than fail a campaign because of it.

Fun drinking game: take a shot every time someone accuses someone of bring charmed when clearly nobody is fucking charmed, this is more painful than listening to Destiny whine in ToS

Huh.. Elaine suddenly has zero trust in the very consistently conflict-avoidant wizard who's nonetheless backed them every step of the way and has saved them, when he was entirely correct? And it's 'super sus' that the bodyguard who has been tied up and his life threatened suddenly has more to say when his charge has nasty socks in his mouth? And Vincent's the one panicking? Oh well, not the first or second of Jeff's characters who's been bullied (nor the first time this campaign) by similar party compositions. This may all be believable in-character (and the tension was great for a while) if we acknowledge Elaine has become very paranoid, but the ooc justifying kinda left a poor taste. Great episode otherwise, as always.

There’s no reason a party wouldn’t find his character being inexplicably an advocate for the enemy troubling and weird. He does very little to justify his actions credibly. I will agree that having one character in charge as played by Feyama (who seems inexperienced as a player) more often than not falls into bullying which is not fun.

@@wideeyedraven15 He does do little to justify his actions, so to bind and silence him as you test the waters may be a valid precaution. Although even after it's confirmed that it is an ambush, and his actions amount to attempting to dissuade them from being ambushed, Elaine still has an inclination to execute him. Of course, Elaine may be panicking herself (distrusting magic), and in that way this would be solid roleplay. But we hear Feyama indicating Elaine is being reasonable. Oddly, she had complete trust in Crumpet, the poisoner, when Vincent was poisoned, after Crumpet poisoned the enemy. And now complete trust in Crumpet sowing distrust in Vincent. Who always disagrees with her. Who must be.. executed? As for Feyama, she's played through a good few campaigns with Koibu now, so it's not inexperience. She's normally one of my favorite players.

I don’t know if I missed something but the whole time Vincent was all “It’s obviously a trap, no don’t go!” So when they found it was a trap you’d think everyone would go “oh shit Vincent was right” and let him go so he can at least try to sleep the backend of the riders running away, no?

Like I’ve got no problem with how they played it. Dnd is dnd, parties fight eachother. I just don’t know how Trump wasn’t tilted because I would’ve been real annoyed if it were me

The AUDACITY of Elaine to claim Vincent had lost his mind whilst they argue over whether to put down the 2 "charmed" guys, regardless of never seeing a charm so far.... Trumps patience is godlike... loved the tension
