Happy to see the High Elves! I recently played Eltharion but not on such high difficulty. Unlike you I chose to relinquish Yvresse which I kinda regretted but seeing you kinda strapped for cash makes me think maybe it wasn’t so bad after all. I definitely missed the influence resource though. Interestingly enough in my campaign the High Elves kicked ass in Ulthuan which was helpful. Tyrion does indeed get your city if you abandon it. My observation was that Eltharion is very well equipped for dealing with the Greenskins. Khorne was much more scary to me, especially with their ROR units. The “wary” skill in the blue line can be helpful against Skaven but not mandatory. Like you I went for the right hand upgrades in Athel Tamara first. Jail mechanic is kinda weird like you saw. Interrogation buff applies only to mistwalker units I think? Also keep in mind that it’s very cheap to spend influence to make the other High Elves to like you unlike with the other races. High Elves definitely need a rework in several areas I think but I hope you enjoy them! 🙂 Eltharion can have a pretty strong army of spear units and later in the game of mistwalkers so that’s something. RoRs or similar units in starting armies look wierd and I tend to be disappointed in their performance since I REALLY go out of my way to protect them, which can lead to them being used a bit passively--I'm glad that the Mistwalkers, particularly the Spire Guard, are pulling their weight from the jump

I always thought Eltharion sounds very like Timothy Dalton, just me?

Name suggestions: Spire guard: “The Grim Guard”, “Grim Guardians” or “Goblin killerz” Faithbearers: “The Redeemers” since they are trying to redeem themselves after the death of Eltharion’s father. Silverins: “Praetorians”, “Orks’ bane”, “Spears of Yvresse”. Eagle Claw: “The talon of Yvresse” or “Yvresse’s vengeance” Overall it makes sense to me to keep a grim and dark vibe like in DC comics with the Batman.
