While that's true for me- your music helped me through some really rough times - it's also been there for all of the best times of my life. Y'all have played such an important role in me and my fiance's relationship that we're planning our first dance to Scene One: James Dean and Audrey Hepburn. The impact you've had on our lives is monumental. You're the reason we really even started talking. I'll try to put this in a nutshell because I'm sure yall are busy. The first night we hung out, a friend introduced us. She didn't listen to much rock music, so while she was with us, I skipped through a lot of my playlist. I so desperately wanted to tell you guys that you're the reason i met the love of my life, but I was crying so hard I couldn't even get words out. It was so quick, but it meant so much to me. Music and concerts play a huge role in our relationship. It's awesome because now I have a built-in concert buddy! We even debated getting married at the courthouse, so we could use the extra money to go to concerts! We're really big fans of you guys. Every time I've heard you play James Dean and Audrey Hepburn live, I just sobbed my eyes out. If we're being honest, every time it plays on my phone, I cry too. It's kind of embarrassing at this point - joking. It just really means so much to me and Mark. I wish there was such a thing as personal concerts - I would probably explode from all the excitement. I'm dedicating this song for a couple I saw a few years ago, who were sitting opposite each other on the train on the way to the beach. The train was so warm, kind of stuffy and gross because everyone was heading to the sea side, some were standing, kids were being so so damn loud, everyone was generally sweating. It was one of those trains that just weren't updated in their system and you wondered why this train was still here. Despite that, the weather was absolutely great, the sun was shining, sky was so blue but the breeze was cooling giving you a sense of comfort, that you could spend time outside for hours on end. It just made you feel happy and this is coming from someone who loves rain, the autumn and winter seasons. Anyways, it was a four seat with a table and the girl was sitting opposite the boy, they were sitting in the window seats. I was sitting on the other side, in a two seat next to my cousin who had come from Nigeria and she was helping my set up Snapchat account on my phone. I could hear the girl talking, rambling almost, and something she had said had made me laugh. I turned to take a glance and my eye caught her partner. I was absolutely in awe. The amount of adoration, love he had in his eyes was so so raw that it was overwhelming yet one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. You could tell they were together just by looking at them. He didn't say anything, he just watched her as she continued to go on about a topic she was passionate about whilst looking outside the window where the sea lay, shimmering in the sunlight. It almost as if, he was appreciating the way she talked, the way she rambled, her hair, her eyes, her whole being. They weren't even touching like holding hands, it was almost like he was looking at such a beautiful rare artifact in a museum that you couldn't touch, just stand and appreciate. It's so weird but I felt honored witnessing such a rare moment. Although I only looked for five seconds, I'll just never forget that moment in my life at all. This song, especially the end casts my mind back to that moment.
