THIS is the Acacia that I fell in love with!! As much as I respect and totally understand their creative desire and need as artists to expand their boundaries with the last EP I just couldn't get into it...Acacia IS one of my all time favorite band's so trust me when I say that I tried to love it over and over again...but overall it just didn't do much for me. I LIKE it, I just didn't feel like it was the same kind of Acacia that I grew to love. THIS though...Wormwood vibes all day. The boy's never lost their touch, they just needed to do something different with that last EP and I respect it...but I'm also happy to know that they're still 100% capable of writing angry bangers like this again. 👊❤

Yeah I couldnt do that last EP, it had 1 slammy guttural breakdown that slapped, but it just wasnt TAS, more of a weird doom powerviolence esque crossover thing I just couldnt get into honestly.

Just a heads up, It Comes In Waves was written by the band for themselves (according to one of the guitarists), so it's pretty much understandable why so many TAS fans have trouble getting into it, or feel the departure from their typical sound is too drastic. I don't understand why they wouldn't just release it under a different band name, however I'm not complaining. I fucking love this new EP and ICIW which means more good music for me! I personally enjoyed the last ep, but I know exactly what you mean. I think part of it is because it had more of a doom metal vibe to it and the songs have depressing/end of the world feel and not everyone can feel that all the time. These last 2 songs have slapped much harder tho and have that quintessential acacia strain sound
