The Vietnamese ones have more of an scarier track, for example 40:52 this one feels like something or someone is watching from the vegetation of the jungle but you can't see him

Yeah, honestly I jumped when I heard a firework and the first thing I thought about was RS2. MFW actual flashbacks. A war so scary even a videogame leaves it's mark

@@GabeMiller2SpoonsOfDoom grandfather will talk about the others, Panama, Operation Paul Bunyan (he was on the cleanup crew and he cried telling me that story,) Grenada, Dominican Republic, even the Gulf War, but he still won’t say anything about Vietnam besides “it was a fucked up war.” One of the hardest men I’ve ever had the honor of knowing.

Ho Chi Minh Trail sounds like something out of a densed, muggy, befuddled nightmare. You can feel Charlie peering through the trees or in the brush in the jungles of Nam.

The VC soundtrack is so cool. Peaceful and beautiful but with dark undertones of battle. Dung Lai is badass, like VC soldiers sneaking through the jungle ready to fight for their country.

We were actually winning, but, we lost due to politics. If we had kept our word with south vietnam, they would've been at some sort of stale mate like North Korea and South Korea.

I like how the presence of music can be heard in game at times like dying or spawning I thought it only has one song which is "Run through the jungle" but that changed my mind when I got shot in the head and heard this awesome yet so calm and menacing guitar sound as the screen turned dark

Just turn up in game music in options. It's also kind of quiet even at high volumes so get away from the fighting in quiet areas for best results.

Tripwire likely nerfed the in game music volume because so many people complained that the music was blaringly loud in RO2 even at low settings. The GOM 4 mod has a fix that pretty evenly balances out the soundtrack, though, if you want to give playing that a try.

Why does Fall of Saigon sound so sad for the North Vietnamese? It was the last battle of the war, it should be the name of their their victory theme.

Well yes, but no one was sad that the war was over. In fact, the North/current Vietnamese celebrate the Fall of Saigon. It's a national holiday I believe.

Honestly, I don't know why they bothered making a soundtrack for this game. It just feels really awkward to have background music in a Vietnam War shooter even though background music worked really well in Red Orchestra 2. The only problem with RO2 was the way that the music was coded into the game to only play certain songs depending on how well your team is doing in the round so the game could play the same 3 minute song for the entire round which got really annoying. This was especially aggravating for the American music in the pacific campaign.
