Such amazing presentation Just with this guy could do lots more He reminds me of David Attenborough 😀. Very impressive Now this sounds like a serious crisis staring this community . How can the gov not. be making plans to relocate these families and plan forward? This is only gonna get worse as climate crisis deepens

🇰🇪🇪🇹 - When ETHIOPIA Started building it's DAM in the North Environmentalists in KENYA were Complaining that LAKE TURKANA will Dry up and that they will LOSE and there will not be any 🐬FISH🐠🐟 anymore. How come now there is more WATER🚣🚿 than before?

Lake Turkana's waters are rising due to a different set of geological factors, just as many other lakes in the Kenyan Rift Valley are rising. The Rift is pulling apart and water is seeping into these lakes from underneath, presumably from the Indian ocean.

Now that you mentioned it, I remember the term ecological disaster Being thrown around that lake turkana would dry up to form two small pools. No wonder people are sceptical of climate change

According to Dasanach community of Selecho, Rising water level of Lake Turkana is not caused by climate change, it's as a result of closure of Ethiopia Dam that increased water level of OMO River that flows into Lake Turkana

It's one year since the last time we heard the story of flooding lakes in Kenya especially Rift valley basin. From Lake Naivasha along way to lake Turkana. I personally witness the rise in Lake Victoria in Mlimani area of Kisumu. What was the phenomenon behind this is mysterious. If we assumed the phenomenon is caused by silt then how can we explain about others lakes like L. Naivasha, L. Nakuru,L. Victoria and L. Elmentaita? If this phenomenon affected only Naivasha, Elmentaita and Nakuru maybe explanation would be underground channel are responsible. I also believe the underground water is responsible since we in Kenya haven't exploit our underground water reservoir and as it continue to rain the excess water underground are looking for a weak point to releases the excess and reduce the pressure.
