In collaboration with Sports Direct, we put on The Trenches Showcase Event. We invited down 30 of the best young unsigned ballers in London and put on match. Premier League, Championship, League 1 & 2 scouts were all in attendance.
This was a major opportunity for these boys, check out how they got on.

Yes but remember it's time and chance happens to every man. Put in your best and pray to God daily he will definitely help you. It's not always the best that get a shot a being pro- it's usually grace and favour. Hard work plays a vital role but if you're not given a chance then there is only so much your hardwork can do.

I am 24 years old, never been in an academy and making my way up after being out with a ruptured ligament for a year and a key thing is to keep that self belief because if you don’t even believe in yourself then how can others. That 1% thing is because there is an even smaller percentage who will do what it takes. Good luck to everyone striving to get that pro. Keep grinding. Love 👊🏾❤️

VERY ENJOYABLE TO WATCH. These boys can play, they are knowledgeable and great pro tempo. I did not see impressive shooting (depends how old they are). Number 18 white, he's checked all the boxes, I think he would be more impressive if he can showcase shooting and power, from the 18 yard box. That's the question mark for his game for the next level. I think number 11 on white team has tremendous dribbling talent, there's a lot of spots that he could play. Number 7 black team the same. Do you guys do showcases with 7v7?

Black Team Sidney was good had gd feet and dribbling think he's a WINGER though Julinho Gomes n emmanuel was good aswell Joseph the RB was decent just got tired in the second half White Team Sam Ince was very good just he's decision making could be better Calvin had a lot of energy getting up and down the left hand side Khayrie was the pick of the lot good dribbling and good decision making Gk Nathan was very good aswell

Neil Harris lives down my road (Millwalls top goal scorer ever) and he got signed for his first academy at 20 years of age so if your not in an academy by the age of twelve do not worry in a way it’s a good thing as academy ,from personal experience,can put you under a lot of pressure and make you lose your passion

Could someone help me giving ideas or suggestions ? I’ve never played in a club or anything like that but I love football and I am pretty good I play as a CB , I started playing at a young age I’m 14 years old and I hope to be a professional footballer , since I’ve never been in a club and my parents won’t support me it will be very hard. I thought about getting a college scholarship (playing football) and then get scouted to a premier league team. Do you think I can make it and what I would have to do differently?
