Sky News host Rita Panahi has applauded actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld for calling out the left’s “toxic influence” on comedy.
The comedian claimed wokeness is to blame for the lack of quality sitcoms on TV.
Seinfeld appeared on the New Yorker Radio Hour podcast alongside host David Remnick, speaking about the need and importance of comedy in television.
“Well, guess what? Where is it? Where is it? This is the result of the extreme left and PC crap and people worrying so much about offending other people,” Seinfeld said.
Ms Panahi questioned whether the Seinfeld program would even be made today or be considered “too risqué”.
