Rithubedam is a 1987 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Prathap Pothen. The film stars Balachandra Menon, Thilakan, Geetha, Vineeth, Monisha Unni and Murali in the lead roles. The film has musical score by Shyam.Thilakan received the National Film Award for the best Supporting actor in the year 1987 for his role in this film.

മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ 100 മികച്ച സിനിമകൾ എടുത്താൽ അതിൽ ഒന്ന് ഈ ചിത്രമായിരിക്കും. താങ്കളുടേതായ, തനതായ അഭിനയ പ്രതിഭ പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ച രണ്ട് നടന്മാരാണ് വിനീതും റഹ്മാനും ഇവരുടെ അഭിനയത്തിൽ നാടകീയത തോന്നാറില്ല. പ്രതാപ് പോനും മോനിഷയും വേദനിക്കുന്ന ഓർമ്മകളായി, ഋതുസംക്രമ പക്ഷി പാടി എന്ന ഗാനം മലയാള കര ഉള്ളടത്തോളം കാലം ഓർമ്മിക്കും.

Super Movie with great twist at the end. All actors played their role very well. What a clear, pure punching dialogue. Of course, this movie was shot at my Village. :))) When i watch this movie, it takes me down memory lane to those lovely, beautiful scenic pollution free days....
