A grapple would be great, except in my case I have a sub-compact tractor, so it already has a very limited lift capacity, every grapple I find, is several hundred pounds, so you take that 400-500 pound lift capacity of the loader at best, and cut it down to less than half and its kind of pointless by then LOL. I do want to get the 3" PTO wood chipper though, I think I'd get quite a bit of use out of one...as well as a flail mower. I don't want a rotary cutter (brush hog), as those things stick so far out behind the tractor, it makes it a pain to turn around in the places I mow. The flail mower is much closer to the back of the tractor, and for what I mow, I don't need a heavy duty mower, I'm just mowing grass and weeds in pastures. Right now I do it with the mid mount mower but its hard on the mower hitting the occasional rock, or other hidden objects.

Yep, gotta have the kids involved somehow, regardless of how much they actually do at that age, they are taking it all in and learning. One of my old co-worker's 12 year old son loves coming up and doing tractor work with me. Its just inconvenient because I have to go get him, so I don't do it very often. Well its not really inconvenient that I have to get him, its just when I need to do stuff I need to do it then, not having to go het someone and then do the work. When I have a lot of stuff to do, I'll sometimes go get him and let him run the tractor. Yes, he's 12, but at what age do you start letting a kid do stuff and learn. This is why so many kids out of high school have no work ethic, nobody gave them any. Gotta get them out there as soon as possible learning stuff, otherwise they'll graduate high school and have no clue how to do anything. For a 12 year old, and for maybe 2 hours of total operator time he does pretty well with that little tractor. Won't be long until your nephew will be in the operator seat of one of your tractors LOL. I finally hit the 100 hour mark on my BX2680 a couple weekends ago moving some of my wood working tools around....getting the pallet forks was an excellent purchase....makes moving that stuff very easy since I don't have help, I have to be able to lift and move stuff myself. My grandfather passed away in January of this year, so the family is going through and taking stuff they want....being able to move all the tools around with the tractor has been a lifesaver. I bought a new table saw to replace the old one that the family is taking, I purchased a couple of lifting slings, put them around the new saw and lifted it up and out into the shop very easily and quickly....without that tractor and lifting slings it would have been quite a struggle to get that saw out to the shop. Along with the equipment movement, the family is taking grandpa's lawn tractor too, rather than my uncle having to repair his again for the 7th time in the past 2 seasons, I said why don't you just take grandpa's LOL. So he's gonna do that, and well the BX will become my mower as well. I love mowing with it, but you gotta take the loader off, put the deck on, mow the lawn, then take the deck back off and put the loader back on....I don't have a large enough doorway in the shop to leave the deck on LOL....yeah another project on the to-do list is to rebuild the door opening to make it wider like it originally was...and install sliding barn doors.
