There should be no reservation at all....if anybody is economically weak then govt. Must provide him/her with economic help which may be in the form of free education in schools, access to free coachings or live classes taken by various govt. Schools, free books and internet, free laptops and free registration forms for various exam upto 10+2 level and that' s it. Don't say that govt. Doesn't have enough fund because I can literally see them distributing freebies. Now if the student is sincere then he can make through it. There is no point of caste based reservation in higher education where in any institute more than 50 % of the students are enrolled with less than 60% of marks which the general students have scored and that is hampering our country in almost every field let it be engineering, medical or research. It has been just like a free pass to some students. What is the guilt of that gen student who has scored more than her but will miss out the opportunity to study in his dream institute which he/she deserves more. And do you think that with 76 percentile she will also be able to compete with other gen. Students in that institute. It will only add up more pressure on her....due to this many reserved category students commit suicides nowadays because they feel they are left behind. Brains of same level should stay together and that creates healthy competition. Year after year the gap between cutoff marks of gen and other reserved categories are increasing. This shows that the reserved category candidates are taking it for granted. There is no scope of their improvement because they don't want to. 75 years have passed. How long can this go on. There should be a limit to everything. And regarding discrimination against SC ST...reservation can't be a solution as it has not proved to be one....only strict punishment can make the difference.

All the SC/STs in my class were rich because their parents were government employees, yet they got reservation.

Anyone who can afford IIM is already well to do. Either in lower middle class or upper middle class but still middle class. Quota in IIM makes no sense to me. Oh look I am discriminated against, here have 25-36L rupees. 😂 GEM are the actual discriminated against. GEM study hard and fight tirelessly just to lose seat by quotas.

@@almond42069 its not about wage working but about intelligence. just think this way u are giving JEE and scored 98percentile whereas another child just cause he belongs to a lower cast/ minority clears it with 75percentile, I mean these exams are for intelligent students, just cause u belong to minority why are u classified over a hardworking general student. These competition colleges rn have 2 types of students, either intelligent or either lower caste. Just tell me what a middle class student has done wrong and why only on him there is a tag of study hard or u get nothing whereas the person who is lower cast getting mostly everything. as for daily wage worker, there too should be like that, coaching fees ,book fees should be free for exams prep but the competition should be fare and square.

Don't you look in this way.. By her getting the seat she will be able to inspire many students from her community to study and prove that education helps them to upgrade their life. I am saying this coz she is from a tribal community where children are forced to quit education and perform odd jobs to meet their ends.
