A group I was in. (The Empyreans) opened for RITTZ on the OD tour in Sacramento and Oakland... It was a major turning point in my life... I was wasted everyday... it was Bad. I had a falling out with my best friend. As a result we couldn't do the show in Santa Cruz.. that was in 2013. Since then my life has changed so much... I quit drinking. Got a home and a car and a new set of goals and dreams to work for...I love life more now than I ever have before. Anyway... I salute you RITTZ. Much love and respect to you and yours. You inspire so many. Including myself. And I'm proud to say. I've been sober for 33 months. It hasn't been easy... But it's been worth it.

Rittz is rappin’ about himself and his past with Strange, Tech, drugs, and part of his life he admits was not the best. Not picture perfect. The tune is about them burying the hatchet now that Rittz is sober and on a good path. Listen to Tech’s lyrics. They seal the deal and the shake hands at the end.

I don't think they had much differences. Rittz was just in a bad place and troubles followed him. It caused some friction with the label but I think that was more like business dealings (timely album drops or appearances or maybe touring schedules). Idk anything outside of what has been said in songs but Rittz laid it out in Fake Smile I think...always respect but just some things he had to work out himself. I'm glad nothing made them fall out though.

@@robert_5974 pretty sure he just signed the standard 3 album contract and moved on bc he felt like he got a big enough following to make it on his own.

@@cecilk729 yeah it seems he had a 4 album contract. I agree that was always the plan...he wanted to be his own boss and he already had CLNTL kind of setup. Plus he seemed to want to find out how Strange ran the business as an independent.
