Honestly these are my number 1 favorite gloves to hit the bag with, even though they aren't as protective (and probably not as durable) as my former number 1 favorites; Winning pro fight gloves. Simply using a good knuckle guard helps with that. They are just so comfortable and satisfying to land shots with. By the way, are you ever going to review a pair of Winning pro fight gloves (if you haven't already)?

I'm thinking of getting my partner these gloves. Does this glove provide a good amount of protection for bagwork / mittwork? She is currently using Twins Special BGLL-1 10oz lace-up fight gloves (foam padding) and is due for a new pair of gloves soon. She is only 5'1 that's why she prefers the compact profile of a fight glove in 10oz. The Winning MS-300 10oz lace-up is my top choice for her but it is just out of my budget. Here are the gloves on my radar: Rival RFX Guerrero / Cleto Reyes Safetec 10oz / Everlast Protex3 Pro Fight Glove 10oz. My budget is $180. I'm looking for a fight glove that uses foam not horse hair and provides good support and protection. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks!

Rival quality has gone to SH!T!!!. My Guerrero HDE-F pro fight gloves just came in and the glove looked like a cheap eBay knock off. Sent pictures to Rival Canada to show how the left glove was defective. Stitching was crooked and all over the place, the lining on the inside of left glove was so loose by the finger tips felt like it was coming off. The laces were frayed on left glove and there was a deep crease going across the middle of the knuckle area that went through the foam. The “Rival” logo was printed crooked and the representative from Rival just said that their “R&D” division found no defects with the glove and because its hand made flaws are to be expected. He also said the foam would flatten out after a few rounds. After trying a few rounds the lining got worse and is severely bunching up on finger tips and the crease has gotten worse. Also noticed the same defective left side fits differently and the thumb placement is off. Thumb is jamming when glove makes contact with pad or bag. Never been more disappointed with a product in my life. Rival at one point might have been a reputable company with quality products but not anymore. This is the second Rival glove I had issues within the last 3 months (they sent me a pair of RB 50 but was two different sizes). Never buying Rival gloves again. I must say that their RB 10’s I purchased last year fit and perform amazingly. However this current incident with my Guerrero HDE-F pro fight gloves and the lack of quality control and poor customer service will prevent me from doing any further business with this company. BUYER BEWARE!
