11 ай бұрынOutside of my campaign fishing I've enjoyed some successful trips with friends stalking carp from a London river. Travelling light whilst utilising simple rigs and tactics we managed to bank a fair few carp including some ultra special ones; venues like this really make you appreciate that it's not always about size.

For me the best young angler in the country does it all right. So in touch with nature and his surroundings. And Alfie i hope all's good with your issues. Nice fishing, I can't believe you still have fish like that in the rivers in your area, in the SW the Otters have killed 95% of the carp in the rivers an in my local canal all are gone😢

dunno when you filmed this but in late june there was lots of big carp dying in the canal opposite due to a sewage leak. They all cleared off after that.

Always love an Alfie upload 👍 but always amazed by how the well know anglers never seem to be bothered by stock levels dropping either by otters or kind people from other countries poaching them for their dinner , great video again though and makes me want to get my rods out

I think most people are bothered but what can they do about otters and fish thefts?

The fact that we can't ever take matters into our own hands with the environment agency and the battle against the otters being released and the diminishing fish stocks to multiple predators without more fish being injected into our waterways and nothing being done. this is a war that will be ongoing. sometimes we have to make the most of fishing unfortunately whilst it lasts.

Great video Alfie. I’m on my own quest for a river carp I’ve spotted him so many times in different areas but he never seems to settle for long enough and is only viable where you can’t get too.
