At least 6 Months prior to my retirement date of 1st Feb 2024 I regularly tuned into your channel for news and to get a feel for how living and being retired in Siem Riep could be and now into my 6th week I can honestly say (with my own short videos I am sharing with friend's and colleague's) just how difficult it is to capture just how lovely it is to be in this vibrant city where the people are so welcoming, tranquilo and friendly where there is so much to see. There is often something to smile at or that warms the heart in almost every street one walks down or just scootering past. Also what cant be captured and conveyed in any video is just how hot it can be and just how hard it can be to make such videos when you feel anything you drink, no matter how cool or cold, is soon coming out of every pore of your body so cudos for every video youve made as I myself am now experiencing just how exerting it can be to make one. Looking forwards to our paths crossing sometime and till then wishing you two Possums a great week ahead.

I can't believe how lovely and vibrant Siem Reap is now. I loved it 10 years ago when the streets were being dug up, and now, well. What a cool city. And that includes the environs. Perfect for scooter and motorbike riding. You lucky devils. Enjoy every minute.

37 at the moment feels like 42 🥵 It is hot season so it's to be expected. The River Festival was really relaxed and enjoyable 😌. Khmer new year is a whole different story.

Such a beautiful city. I'm so impressed with what it has to offer and what it looks like. --- My only real concern is that extreme heat and not enough 'comfortable' weather all year ? ( for my liking ) May just ruin it for me feeling the need for a shower almost constantly ? > 82 -- 100 is a bit much for my liking. ---- An hour S of Manila and @ 2000 ft elevation they have 69 -- 85 with cool breezes and beautiful scenery also. Tagaytay area has equally low costs of living to Siem Reap and quite welcoming super friendly people too ! Weather is very comfortable much of the year with little to no ac needed. > Has me torn between the two places as both really appeal to my liking !!! Was hoping to find my ideal retirement destination & didn't expect such a 'close' race ? Yet here I am. 🤔 Both certainly do have many pros and quite naturally each has a con or two. --?-- 🙏

We will have to visit on day. The biggest problem here is health care and the heat. Healthcare is improving rapidly but the heat is getting worse. We recommended travelling April, May and maybe June to get away from the worst of it.

@@ForRielHome rent in USA is high. Just talk to this young person she pay $1,100 per month for a car garage that covert to a living space. Other place she said is $1,200. Yesterday, I brought and In and Out hamburger 2 set combo for $20. A set is a soft drink, a french potatoes fried and a hamburger.
