What an amazing day out metal detecting in the river! I came across an old pistol that someone probably tossed in the water, no telling the story behind it. An armed bandit was drinking carona at the river after robbing an arcade for all their quarters, when his belt broke and his pants fell down dumping out his car keys, his stolen change and his pistol, when he dove in after it he lost his shades, when rifling through the rocks he lost his rings, then a flash flood!!! he almost drowned until his accomplice threw out a rope, but forgot to unravel it! Then before his friend drowned, in a last ditch effort he threw in his gas can, quickly the bandit used the can as a flotation device to get to safety.... He took that near death experience and turned a new leaf, he converted to a Buddhist and lives in a temple somewhere in Asia... True story..... Or not...

I'm 10 years old nearly 11 and I've been inspired by your determination and effort and I've started metal detecting and I've found a variety of items and bought a Garrett ACE 150 on amazon and I'm currently in the English Lake District and we are going to detect some old Roman sites and hoping to find some gold coins and make millions! I doubt it but without out hope there is no excitement earlier today me and my dad found an old chunk of an old railway made of iron.

You should contact cops when you find guns. People often toss guns used in murders or shootings into rivers, assuming they will never be found. You could help a family catch their loved ones killers.

Throughout the era of their popularity it wasn't uncommon for people to buy entire cases of these things to sell or use for nefarious purposes. Up until the 90's .22's and .25's were still very commonly seem as viable self defense pocket guns, and many still use them to this day. It is, however, ridiculously correct to assume that this was likely used in some kind of criminal activity.

This was manufactured by a company called CVA. The numbers are the serial number. They put out several different buckles during the 1970-80’s. They were collectibles thus the serial numbers. I had about 10 different ones that I had collected over the years. There used to always be a guy set up at the County Faire who Sold all kinds of things made out of leather, including belts and these buckles...

At 5:53 mark it appears to be a gas tank from a motorcycle. It looks like the mounting supports for the front of the tank are still intact.
