Unexpected fashion finds and fabulous designer shoes. Crystal and collectibles debut the new Treasure Island area of Goodwill stores. We will hunt for bargains and find new in a box deals. Party perfect centerpieces are plentiful here. Nice collection of Willow Tree figurines are well priced and ready to gift. Michael Kors, Fossil, and Ann Klein watches are impressive. See the new entertaining book I find that retails for $75. It's a high traffic store with a steady flow of restocking. Did someone say Jimmy Choo? You bet. This, and so much more. Just a warning on the watches - if the second hand isn't moving the watch is likely broken and needing repair. This has happened to me more than once.

Be on the lookout for anything Murano, most creators are closing down because of the fuel costs. We think the price for Murano pieces will triple by this Summer when more reports emerge from Italy.

Oh, be still my heart - another great place snd it's a Goodwill! I love that you take your time showing us the beautiful things on offer, not rushing through. Your suggestions are helpful for giving us a new point of view. Loved all the clothes you found - I'm partial to Loft myself - and that's s real treasure trove! My favorite was the red gingham! Spotted it and my heart sank when you started to pass it by, but then you went back! It's adorable on you and fits like it was made just for you. The tulip blouse was another great find, but everything was. Great books, too!! Thanks for showing us some. I have a tendency to not look and I don't know why. I love books and a large percentage of mine are library discards or used and purchased from used book sales! Next time I'm in my (small and not very good) Goodwill, I'll have a look!

Oh my goodness this is the day I get excited for! The minute I get home from Church I run in and check to see if you have uploaded. I am learning so much from you and hopefully making my home a better place on a budget! It is that old saying “champagne taste on a beer budget”. I am sure that my European Heritage and tastes don’t help to curb my passion either! My hope is that my recycling and loving of these items, my new found treasures from the past, will become valuable keepsakes for my children and used in their futures homes! Thank you always! I'm so impressed with that GoodWill and it's prices. From CA to GA I haven't found 1 Goodwill that didn't price it's items as new. Wish I was nearer to Houston.

The 'Sunflower' Willow Tree figurine and the sunflower (you are my sunshine) necklace would make a great gift combo. ALL of your fashion finds today were outstanding. I especially LOVE, LOVE the red gingham dress and the tulip blouse. Wondering... would you ever consider writing a book yourself? The black and white transferware Royal Stafford can be found at home goods for you in the US and for us in Canada at Home Sense … I bought the dinner plates that I combined with our cristal salad plates Villeroy & Boch which I found a dozen for 20$ at Value Village in Canada! Great videos Lady Beth to promote recycling. My motto in life is if U need something look in the thrift shop first! Love that U promote gift giving frm such stores. Now I've got the idea U r transfixed with crystal,nice, but can U put a little quirky/arty content in, so glad U mentioned art & picture frames. I just started following you. Just love your style. I was inspired to check out my local goodwill. Found 4 lismore sherry glasses $12 a piece tag but got an additional 20% off. Another store found 1 lismore candle stick for $9. I found some other interesting pieces for my home too and a few gifts. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and tips.

The put one shoe on the shelf, so they can't be stolen. They do this in high excluding stores. One shoe is on the rack and then you take it to the counter for the mate. Even some of the regular, exclusive Thrift stores use chains to keep theft down. This Goodwill is definitely in a very high end/ wealthy neighborhood . We don't even have high class items in our Goodwill just basic items Occasionally there are some rare treasures but very rare!!! I need to take a trip to Texas. The store doesn't even look like a Goodwill, but a store in the very wealthy shopping centers.

I LOVE going to Goodwill and other thrift stores, and of course that particular Houston store may already be pricier than others, but I've been noticing that the prices in many of my favorite thrift stores are now mirroring NEW items. So much so, that my thrift store runs are becoming fewer and fewer. Why spend $25 on something (that oh BTW once used to cost $5), when I can find that same item BRAND NEW in a regular store? It's infuriating. Thrift stores are supposed to be the last, best, bottom-of-the-barrel place to shop. But no more.
