My thesis is based on this topic. River is the best fine aggregate we could get,with good particle size distribution, but due to environmental impacts on consumption of river sand it's not advisable to use it, i think with proper compaction and mix design eliminating voids as per IS 10262:2018 and partial replacement of cement with Fly ash or GGBS by annex B and C we could avoid cracks in m sand casted concrete. Correct me if I'm wrong.

@@Sriramsrivalson heat of hydration kammi aagum bro, which leads to least microcracks and densest concrete we could get, the denser the concrete the higher the strength. So yes it will increase the strength of concrete, because fly ash or ggbs is much more finer than cement below 20 microns

@@prasameme3126 if we reduce water cement ratio ye we can increase strength, but it leads to least workabilty which leads to poor compaction and more honeycomb structures ton concrete and eventually the concrete fails to even achieve the target strength at 7th day. Trust me my thesis is based on this, to avoid it we could go with Hyperplasticizer or superplasticizer like SNF 200,400, from Fosroc.

as a engineer I say ,in concrete m.sand is better than river sand...but plastering river sand is better than m.sand ..because crack is lot in m.sand..course aggregate is manufactured then m.sand is also manufactured,so manufactured =manufactured but manufactured not equal to manufactured by nature means river sand...

Yes you are partially correct, becoz We are not demolishing mountain only for M sand purposes, it's produced from wastage which is again produced during useful material, wastage material is sustainably used to produce this M sand. Technically we are sustaining the environment

Eavlo naalaiku msand eadupeenga bro ,aathu manal la poosuna olunga irukadu nu eanda kena kirukkan bro sonan ,I've been working in construction field for 7years , whatever always river sand is better than msand ,u will see cracks in Wall if u use msand , better u will know if u go for some redesign works for buildings which were built 10years ago, today buildings has lifetime of just 30to 35 years ,but olden days the building has 60to 70years lifetime , nowadays these engineers and construction consultants were fooling people's ,they use sand and cement ratio of 7:1or 8:1 even someone uses 10:1 ,but we uses 6:1 and for wet areas we use 5:1 ,for roof concrete,arch boards and showcase we use 2:1.but no consultants and contractors uses these ratios , those people's just showcase the building that they were constructed was good just by using some low cost putty and some interior works ,so whoever planning to buy new house , don't get fooled by such cheaters,they will make you believe that what they were telling was 100% true so be aware of such things.

Everything constructed by ancient people are standing stronger even today, take for example the britishers who constructed the building 100 years back which are even stronger for today, Cause the construction works were perfect, today the materials which are bought for construction itself having poor quality
