I really enjoy your videos, so nice to see honesty in the fish keeping hobby. I only have one small tank myself but still have mishaps from time to time, some caused by me and others defective equipment. Please keep up the good work.

You are so right, they are a beautiful fish and I was lucky to get a group of 6 a few days ago. They have settled in well. I will check your tank out.

Without doubt. The point that I am trying to get across to others who may do a river tank is that even with the weight, the stand could not distribute it on a carpet floor - the tank would even wobble when pushed. A conventional stand design with a rectanguler bearer would I feel would be better suited to home use. Yes, a lightweight substrate support such as perspex might be the answer rather than stones, pumice and polystyrene.

Fish Update: I have decided that Neon Dwarf Praecox Rainbowfish should be a suitable feature fish, I can adjust temperature / to suit and a mix of sizes would be in keeping with a river scape - I am looking for a supplier now.

I don't know if you have access to them where you are, but Rainbow Shiners would be happy in that tank.

They are certainly a neat looking fish well suited to my tank and okay with my soft water but not available in New Zealand - I guess because they can tolerate cooler water and if got into the wild could compete withour native fish. - I appreciate the suggestion.
