I love River's character in that she is a worthy companion and a worthy choice for the Doctor's wife. One who can stand on her own without constanly wimpering "Oh, Doctor, help me!!!"like other companions did/do. She supports and completes the Doctor where needed (I've done it longer" "But I do it better").....but she is unpredictable enough to to cause trouble and keep the Doctor on his toes!!!! She brightens up the show! Now that her timeline is complete....and certain possibilities/loopholes were dropped, I hope she pops in on more episodes. Happy New Year.

Exactly, all I could think about was a time on the graham norton show how she bit a mans tongue for sticking it down her throat repeatedly during a kiss scene in a play, and the guy needed stitches. Graham's reaction was like: you savage bitch!

It's slowly becoming my favorite Christmas special of them all. It started low, but it is definitely growing in my affections. What can I say? I've always been a River Song fan.

Ehhh... I think this episode did a very good job at ending her character. If she comes back, it'd lessen the impact of this episode.

+Ramon Garcia - If she were to come back, it would have to be "Post-Library" episode where River Song is still in Digital form where only the Doctor can see her.

I adored it,she was given a proper farwell,but we hopefully still have to see the time of the 2 doctors,jim the fish,asgard and how was she there if clara was dead,maybe her audio drama will do...Until next time Professor River Song

If we see more River, it has to be after Forrest of the dead for the timeline to make sense. All those moments you mentioned has to have happened before Capaldi, since River in the Christmas episode had already experienced them.

Well, sure. But, I don't think "Eleven was super happy to have River be a murderer" is the best way to put it.
