The idea of Archie is the boy next door and what does Betty hate the most about herself is that she’s the girl next door meaning it would make no sense if she wanted to become the thing she does not want to become. Y’all love to talk about this and that. Betty legit said it was live at first sight love at first sight at 7 years old. Archie rejected Betty in the first season why? Because he thought she was too good for him and what has this whole show taught us about Betty? That she’s not perfect so that made Archie realize Betty and him can happen. Betty is in love with Jughead sure but Betty and Archie are the love of each others lives. I really do wonder what would happen to bughead after their are no mysteries to solve I mean their whole relationship is built off them solving mysteries. They have nothing in common besides snooping around and writing and sure that can carry a friendship but a relashionship? Betty and Archie have a lot in common in fact have the most in common out of the whole cast they make sense because we know that even without the craziness that is riverdale we know for a FACT that Betty and Archie can work because they did work. We can’t say that when the mysteries of riverdale are over that all of the relationships will work out except for bettys and archies because they have done in before.

If Betty really loved Jughead she wouldn’t have needed to listen to Cheryls advice. it seems to me that if Cheryl hadn’t talked to Betty the scene in the bunker would’ve gone way differently. Archie clearly isn’t in love with Veronica anymore and wants to explore his feelings for Betty, and Betty feels the same but since jughead is the safer option she is staying with him and it honestly seems like she’s staying with him out of guilt. Also it seems wrong that betty is keeping this from him if they were a healthy couple she would’ve told jughead what happened but she’s going back to solving mysteries which she clearly doesn’t want to do since it brings out her darker side and issues with her dad. I don’t think Jughead is her safe place anymore she chose him because she feels he is the safer option and being with Archie would’ve been too complicated not because she realized she was in love with the idea of Archie. Being in love with idea of someone happens when you don’t know them, but Betty knows Archie the most. To be completely honest it seems like Barchie fell out of love with their partners, but are choosing to stay with them because it’s easy to be with them and feel obligated.

I think that song is gonna come back Mary is gonna ask Veronica if she heard it and he’ll have to play it and she’ll realize its not for her OR he’ll play it at prom and be looking at Betty and everyone will know it’s not for Veronica.
