I chose to come to Kampot, in Cambodia because of the pictures I seen of it's riverside lifestyle. It was even more amazing then I could have imagined! I needed to slow down and just get some chill time, and this was the perfect spot for that. It has everything you would want. Slow pace, fast pace, escape in nature, whatever your little heart desires, you will find it here. I could easily spend months in this incredible place.

I really love how positive you are while exploring and learning about the good, bad, and ugly in these amazing destinations. I am so glad I found your channel today! I am investigating where I may want to live in SE Asia and it is so refreshing to find a channel that is not centered around the party scenes, bar girls, and taking advantage of the locals. I looked at the map, that river goes straight to the sea. Mountains, River and the sea all in one, that would be a nice place.

Effluent is pumped into the river on the outgoing tide just below the new bridge. Explains why no one swims in the river

That’s not correct, we swim in river here in kampot from Hideaway resort and up the river. No issues.
