Man! I remember the days of Riverview! For me it was/is a lifelong joy, but I've grew with the changes are in this time and is grateful I can stay my distances from a people who are at the amusement parks to be bad of a people. Thank God now that I'm a senior I can enjoy the parks and avoid the negatives that are prevalent. Riverview will always be missed!

Used to go there two or three times every summer with the LaGrange YMCA. No chaperones in sight ever; the bus dropped us off at the main entrance on Western Avenue in the morning and picked us up at 4 p.m. Never lost a kid and we always had a ball. Can't do that today especially with today's parents and kids. Can you just imagine?

Excellent video. My uncle took me to Riverview when I was 7 so this brings back some happy memories.

very good Regular 8mm photography, technically, and excellent film-to-video transfer too. Also, film stock nicely cleaned up

the first year for the Space Ride, the last year for the Tunnel of Live and Greyhound under those names. I really liked the Boomerang and Wild Mouse scenes

My parents took me to Riverview a year later in 1965 when I was 4 years old. I don't have any mental memories of this but I have one photo.

nice video but maybe a little sad what family would sell those memories unless the family was no more the little boy would be about 60 now oh well those were the days my friend, we thought they would never end 🥲🥲🥲

Agree. As I understand it from the seller, this was not his family nor were there any names on the tin the film was in. Supposedly he acquired this film in a box of films he purchased. Hopefully someone out there will see this and recognize the family. Film will not last which is why I had it digitalized. Not only to preserve but that in the hopes someone from the family will be able to see and enjoy as well.
