The fact that this movie speaks to teenagers, people in their 20s and 30s, all the way up to someone my age (61) says a lot about how right this movie gets the story it tells. Despite the differences between today and the early 70s when I was in high school, I see so much of myself in the character of Simon just the way you said you did. Finally feeling represented onscreen for the first time in a mainstream film is wonderful, no matter how old you are.

I went to the movies expecting it to be just some "sort of dumb teenage comedy, but gay so I'm watching it", so I was definitely surprised, related to it a lot and cried many times. I took my youngest sibling (14) who is also gay af with me and I have no words to express how happy I am that their generation was given this story at the moment they need it the most.

I CRIED IN THAT JENNIFER GARNER SCENE TOO. SO GOOOOOOD. not overly acted or anything but super real. :') also had so many other scenes that i liked like where simon and leah are lying on the bed and talking. oh man.

I enjoyed the interview Riyadh. I like seeing Nick Robinson again. I saw the film and I enjoyed it too. It had a great message and this was a good video. It is interesting to learn how much it meant to to cast too.

I have seen the movie twice now and I have cried every time. This movie is so relatable for me and is a wonderful representation of the LGBT community. It’s also just the cutest to look around the theater and see all the cute couples cuddling and enjoying the wholesome movie together. I went with my girlfriend on Monday and we both cried at the part when his mom is talking to him because although our moms each took it well they were not as accepting it right away. I would still get comments from my mom saying that it can “always change.” I actually saw the movie with my mom and sister first and it felt great. It probably looked funny seeing the two girls dressed up in rainbow crying the whole movie while there is an older, ordinary woman in between them who is definitely not crying. It was fun to share with her anyway. I totally recommend this movie, 100%!
