Those speakers thump thanks to an MP3-compatible Kenwood CD player that, along with the ute’s ignition switch, lives in a lockable metal console. And in front of the driver, a polished steering wheel laps a tilting column, which reflects a padded dash that’s finished with crisp digital telemetry. This Jeep started life as a truck that was tougher than most and ended up a show-stopping stunner that’s now nicer than most.
