I think you should watch RM's Indigo magazine film where he discusses all of his tracks in depth.. I am fascinated by how his brain works.. He is like a really wise old man.

I feel like your interpretation is quite unique from what I see people see it or I, myself, see it. Especially on the wildflower one. I think the opposite, he doesn’t want to be like firework where it booms and the sparks gone quickly, but rm would rather be like flowerwork where it blooms and the beauty stays and leaves a memorable impression for a long time.

What a wonderful "roundtable"-like discussion of "Indigo"! Regardless of what was intended for the songs to actually mean, I love what you extrapolated from each track for yourself. I think your interpretations are valid, and even if they weren't truly what RM intended, are still so cool to think about. That's the beauty of art -- it can be interpreted in so many different ways. So long as you took something valuable away and had some engaging discussions about the songs, I think RM succeeded at creating something that will stand the test of time. This was oodles of fun to watch! Thanks for reviewing this masterpiece of an album. 💜

Was waiting eagerly for this album review, always love your guys' takes on RM's lyrics and messages! He's truly one of the most talented songwriter and musician of our generation! Would love to see you guys review his first mixtape RM, i'm pretty sure you'll love it!

RM released a bunch of stuff during the promotion of this album, compiled by ARMY-ing 101 channel in a playlist: "Compilation: INDIGO by RM". I recommend watching these videos on your own time: * RM "Indigo" Album Magazine Film, where he, the producers, and the featured artists talk about the songs, track by track * Suchwita ep. 1, which is Suga's talkshow, where they have a conversation about "Indigo" and other things. * His live performances: Live in Seoul at Rolling Hall (10 songs, with several of the featured artists), NPR Tiny Desk (3 songs), Live in New York at Dia Beacon Museum (4 songs).

Loved the review!! I personally expanded a little more or differ a tiny bit in some of my own song interpretations (for example, I saw more critic to his sorroundings than what was talked about here), but yeah I think all those who take the time to really understand what RM was trying to express will come up with the same answer - with some minor variations that add a lot (the interpretation of Change pt2 as an attempt to accept change was a new one to me!), or even different ways of expressing it and assosiate with that makes wonders to both the common listener and the fan that worries and admires the artist/human. It's wonderful to have deep reviews like this! Will hope for more in upcoming releases!!

That was my favorite part of the BE album review as well. I hope you can check out J-Hope's Jack in the Box, I haven't seen the rest of the album here, and of course, Jimin's and SUGA's albums which came out recently. Great analyse! It's wonderful to see that you were open-minded enough to give his arty, poetic style a chance. It's not for everyone to appreciate and understand I think. I love the album, it's so him! You should check out the live concert he did for only 200 people (back to his roots) in the Rolling Hall in Seoul. He felt at home on stage and you could see he was his true self. There was no mask. It was simpel, heartwarming and everyone was vibing to the music (including him). People were this close, they could almost touch him. He was right were he belongs, the venue he dreamed about when he first started to rap. It's been a while, but I still watch the concert regulary. To my opnion this music is timeless.
