Wild Flower is truly a masterpiece that is truly moving. A wild flower is a flower that grows free and beautiful sometimes in bunches or off in the most random spot as one out in an area that is lonely . They grow and pop up on their own. They are resilent and don't need much to flourish all by themselves. With the word play of flowerwork and the fireworks that are set off by others the shine doesn't last and fizzle out quickly. With this song RM wants to be free and his voice and inner feelings to be heard and felt. He is staying true to himself and what he wants with no one needing to start the flame. You give flowers to those you love and flowers also are medicine to heal. I love the representation of the nature with the clouds of sadness , no leave bare trees, the storm of inner chaos but after the rain comes flowers and peace. YouJeen's voice was truly moving and a perfect match for this song.

RM actually mentioned that exact explanation about firework vs flowerwork. He mentioned even though there isn't such a word flowerwork (he made a word), he thought they are good words go one side by side. How fireworks burn and disappear after glorious short time that left over ashes fall down on ground and he thinks of NamJoon as wildflowers.

Youjeen from band Cherryfilter is the most famous female rock vocal in Korea. She and her band actively released music in early 2000s but they’ve been inactive for 8 years. So her participation on this song is such a big surprise for many twenties and thirties in Korea who grew up listening their song. Everyone in Korea has been waiting and missing her voice.

Yes so true-!!! As Korean i agree that Youjeen is such a lengendary female vocalist. She has unique and strong voice that captures people's attention. Many people from the elderly to the youth feel nostalgic form her songs 🥰 Thank you for your kind explanation abt Youjeen bb. I hope Youjeen to be respected by international people one day.

In Korean, the word ‘firework’(불꽃놀이) and ‘flower’(꽃) share same verb ‘지다’. ‘Fireworks go down’ is ‘불꽃놀이가 지다’ and ‘flower falls off’ is ‘꽃이 지다’. So rm used a new word ‘flowerwork’ to compare the appearance of common wild flowers which survive calmly but strong with an image of firework which is enormously beautiful but instant.

They are singing "flowerwork" because the point of the song is that namjoon didnt know he would soar this high and he started losing himself. He doesnt want to be a "firework" because fireworks shoot up into the sky and amongt he stars but burn. He wants to be on the ground like a field of flowers and know where he can always be. Thats why in the last scene he is in the field and smiling.

What really Namjoon wants is conveying his messages. Music for him is story telling, share his story, pain, sad, happy, all of them. Not for marathon, win or lose. The most important to him is you got his messages. If you want to support him, promote or share his songs to many people as much as possible, weather army or not. So people can get the messages. It will be good if more GP and non army can know and listen to his music. Streaming over and over without promote or share his songs to a alot of people just make his arts only be enjoyed by army, and you can lose his messages, because what you aim is number, not his messages anymore.

I can't help crying or tearing up when I watch the MV and listen to this song, it's just so beautiful and hit me so hard. I bet I'm going to get that emotional with every member even if they do happy songs bc I know they have to go for a while and because I'm so proud of them.. 😭😭 I am so proud of Namjoon! Indigo is an incredible album. The album was just released but it has already made me feel so many things and heal. Namjoon is my favorite artist for a reason. I appreciate the fact he's so honest with us. Not all can do that and exposing his inner himself and putting out in the world those raw lyrics is just so brave. I always find myself in some way reflected in his music and his songs give me comfort and motivation. It's like if someone is sitting next to me, listening and telling me that everything will be fine, that one day we will make it. Kim Namjoon is an incredible artist and I can't be more proud of him, I'm so proud of everything he has achieved as a celebrity and as a person. He deserves all the love and support! It's incredible how every single song is so f good on its own and even if they are different, I see them as a whole. That's why it's hard for me to choose a favorite one.. that's what happens when you release a real good album. Namjoon's lyricism always blow my mind. I wish him all the happiness, he truly deserves it. 😭💜 I'm OBSESSED.

Must be the SOTY. Love the Lyric n RM voice is so so great n insane. This man is tearing our hearts in to pieces. He is pouring out his soul in that song. This Lyric is so deep n I'm tearing up. I can't get enough of it. It is 10:14pm Southern California n I've been playing it all day long. We love this man so much. J-Hope, Jk n Jin had their solo n we all love n adored all of them, but RM n this Wild Flower hit differently. As a leader of BTS, it really drained him mentally n the flow is unprecedented. I am 70 years old n I will remember this song for the rest of my life. He is the Perfect Man I may say n this is a Masterpiece.

BTS never disappoint. Each of them is so talented. RM is a gifted lyricist and artist. This song is so pure and honest and it goes straight to the heart and the tears down subconsciously. Now that is a true artist. I am not korean but to have this feeling just by reading the english lyrics i am sure it will hit deeper to those who understand korean. And that is the testament of a real music. It is so poetic and it touches the listener. RM real monster real music real mind real me. Thank you god for giving BTS to us.

You know even when BTS say they're taking a hiatus as a group or just a hiatus in general... they never actually take a break. Army knows this... they're addicted to the music, so they just keep pumping out content for us but they're continuously overworking themselves. I know they said that they're coming back in 2025 so even though none of us wanted them to go to the military... I think it'll actually be really healthy for them, especially Namjoon. They'll be able to disconnect themselves from this life that they've been in for 10 years. They seriously need a time-out. I hope that when they come back they won't feel like they have to do right by everyone or pushed to reach certain deadlines, I hope they'll be able to navigate music much more freely and at their own pace. Their music won't only evolve but they themselves as people will grow.

We’ve all known how much the celebrity and fame hurt and exhausted BTS. I’ve wanted them to take it slower before they self destruct. I totally agree this is what was so long overdue for all of them, a break. Time to think and grow. He said it all at the Festa breakfast. It still hurts though.

I'm leaving this comment after watching the RM Indigo album magazine film video from Bangtan TV, and is something that left me with many thoughts about him but one. I wasn't thinking about RM as the "leader of BTS" but the true artist that he is. We had no idea who RM really is, we know he's smart, intelligent, capable artist now I'm seeing a very interesting, fresh, spontaneous with a new proposal to get to know him and love him individually the same or more that we love BTS or each member, now a totally understand what the frase "The best is Yet to Come" means. First J-Hope, now RM, I'm enjoying everything this 7 human beings are planing to stay in our lives for a very long long time. When all the music around us now is stagnant and some of them disrespectful, bad taste or fun, depending who you're asking to, here comes our Mr. Kim NamJoon with a refreshing and purposeful music and lyrics, colaborating with the right artists that convey and complement his intentions to give us a best way to listen and appreciate music.May the night be kind and calm In your mind and heart For you and me, for us all. No teníamos idea de quién es realmente RM, sabemos que es un artista listo, inteligente, capaz y ahora estoy viendo a alguien muy interesante, fresco, espontáneo con una nueva propuesta para conocerlo y amarlo individualmente tanto o más que nosotros amamos a BTS o cada miembro, ahora entiendo totalmente lo que significa la frase "Lo mejor está por venir". I loved and grateful sharing your feelings. Of course we know all truth and feelings can sharing beyond languages, as ARMY who loved BTS. But also as Korean ARMY feel harsh sadness and pain from his Korean lyrics parts when listening with his sincere voice. It's a song that strikes deep, I know it hit me in the same way. He's lived a life in his 20s that many will never relate to or have the opportunity to experience yet everything he has to say resonates so universally. He's genuinely a very very special person. If I can make one recommendation per your decision on tiny desk (and I know everyone enjoys music in their own way), Namjoon mentioned he hoped fans could listen through the album as is, in order, for the full experience. As a longtime army, it's one of my most memorable full album sit throughs I've ever experienced. I'm sure you're eager to get to tiny desk, I just wanted to offer my experienceThe beginning of the video and when youjeen sings the hook reminds me of RM and Jimin on American Hustle Life watching the fireworks and being in amazement of them. It brings a warm and fuzzy feeling to me. I love this album and it has a really good vibe where you can listen and reflect on your own life or just chill and enjoy the eclectic group of songs on the album. EDIT: . I've been on the verge with this song, and it takes a lot for a song to hit me that way. You know we've been waiting for your reaction after 24 hours later. Thank you for that as always. The Korean title is the "Flowerworks" and Joon wanted it the same in English in the first place but changed into the "Wild flower" just in case of preventing the misunderstanding. Personally, I think ARMY wouldn't confuse the former, and also it sounds more poetic. This is an absolute masterpiece and a poem itself. I've been always thinking his lyrics need to be translated more professionally not just delivering the meaning but conveying his emotions well. His chosen Korean words are so beautiful and feel like reading a poem. The featuring singer is a main vocalist of the rock group, Cherryfilter who grew popular in early 2000 in Korea. She has a such a powerful and unique voice, and it was quite surprised to hear them at first, but it's a perfect choice listening again and again.

This song and video has such a dynamic meaning, and I can tell from this video that RM, has been through a lot of up's and downs, from debut to present. I feel he will come back in 2025, as a new person, but without changing his good heart, and kind spirit. I love you RM, and I thank you two for your meaningful reaction, and you sir, I appreciate you sharing, that you have struggles with your mental health, and I know it isn't easy to let strangers into that part of your life. Ahhh exactly. This mv, the lyrics alone, brought me to tears. He's the only one from BTS that gets my deepest emotions out of me. I know if I need a good cry who to turn to.
