@@khappy1286 I listen to Clevelands News Radio everyday in Canada. They play lots of Rush as break music and so do the Cavs. Always great to hear.

Not only are Alex, Geddy & Neil among the best musicians in the world - despite their legendary accomplishments over the years and their reputation...they're all awesome, down-to-earth people. Watching their various documentaries, behind-the-scenes, interviews and outtakes - is just as entertaining as the great catalogue of music they've crafted over the decades.

Couldn't agree more .. been in love with these guys since i was 13 and 1977.... & Jeeses Kryst,... listening to Neil speak, about literally anything,...you feel like you learned something from The Master with his incredibly clear articulation and concise command of our language. I've yet to hear him pause, stumble, fumble or say anything like : Y' know.., um.., ahhh..., well..., yeah, no..., like.., sooo.... freekin genius.

I've seen interviews with Lifeson and Geddy other places and Alex always cracks everyone up with his twisted sense of humor. A great and humble guy. One of the best people on the planet. If you ever read this, Alex, thanx for years of great music, humor and entertainment, both on and off the stage, vinyl, cassettes & CDs.

retroman360 - and we Love them as much as you do! The Passing of my friend Neil Peart is one of the saddest days ever! He was family to me! And I always love you Canadians! There's a band from Canada called Danial Band. I got to work with them once as there stage manager in Redding CA. I really loved those guys! Tony Rossi was the guitar player and was just about the coolest dude Ever! So Canada, Thank You for the best rock band Ever! RUSH! and Look up the band "Danial Band"!

I swear all of Rush just seem like some of the nicest guys in the world. All rock stars and actors need to learn a lesson from these men. Of course we just lost one of the greatest not drummers but men in the world.

would you believe that Canadians didn't really like rush at there first beginnings say (1973-1978)...man thy had it rough-and they toured there asses off-but i never rmet them but always knew they were grateful and humble musicians as well as good peeps and cool canucks.....but thank god for there USA Detroit friends we took this band in like a charm...they player here alot back in the day-RUSH LOVES DETROIT! WE LOVE THEM!

@kawaphat Totally. I think Guitar Hero and games like that can work pretty counter-intuitive to what they're used to. I found this especially with the drums. You're playing patterns on certain drums that make no sense to experienced drummers. It would be cool if sequels to these games would make playing the instruments more realistic, so that it's easier and more attractive for gamers to pick up an actual instrument.

I too believe that time is short and must be used wisely. That's why I frequently listen to Rush and go to as many of their gigs as I can!

The reason RUSH is the best is due to their modesty / humility; not just as people, but as students of music. For them there is always room for improvement. Great attitude about music & life. Bless them.

Listen closely, at the end Rick says "Goodnight Thunder Bay". Maybe Lersxt told him about some of the rough concerts Rush played there. One show people hurled bottles on the floor of the arena and a brawl broke out, then on the Hemispheres tour my dad's friend ignited a military smoke screen that filled the whole arena. Rush had to walk off because they couldn't breathe. The never played in Tbay again, true story.

And where were you in 1981 when Rush released Moving Pictures with "Tom Sawyer" as their hit single... I was in Junior High School and this song was without doubt the single-most defining song of the time, to me atleast, and it's found its way into history as an all-time favorite. Long live RUSH!

A) As a Canadian I couldn't have said it better myself; and B) We have alot more than Rush, but its hard to tell with them being so damn good. They blur out the competition.

I agree a million per cent and to give them their credit, Alex and Geddy have said the same thing in a documentary-"Beyond the lighted stage". Neil says it's just that the attention embarrasses him, I think he feels unworthy. But he's a hard 1 to figure out, best not try I think. I've been a fan since I was 8 and adore them but if Neil doesn't want to meet Me at a meet/greet then that's life :).

Very good point, a lot of what people see is acting for the camera, and Neil only acts the way he does on camera because he -has- to be there for at least some interviews, the rest he avoids like the plague.
